    Bypassing the keyed gas cap

I have taken almost every key required function off of my bike, including the ignition. Having to carry around a key everywhere to fuel the bike was getting annoying. I did several searches to find alternatives, and saw someone had done this. I decided I would try it also. With a little patience...

Owning a SuperHawk, I can appreciate what you did. However, I'm not going to go wreck mine to emulate you.

Found a clock that fit in with my gauges nicely.. whatcha think?

It looks good, but why do you need a clock on a bike? The last thing I want to know while I'm riding is the time. I can tell when it's time to stop when the bike hits reserve.

    DTT Cincy Meets & Events

The Q S& L on the west side has its share of Harleys, but it also has a lot of sport bikes. So much so, that the cops have started hanging out and writing tickets as a regular thing. I've taken my cafe a few times. Normally, I can''t get in the lot without someone stopping to compliment my bike...

    Intros!

62 is nice. I like to do a loop from 50, over Markland dam, then back up through Rabbit Hash. That's a great ride, and right around 100 miles. And yes, I am a Cavalier. It's the oldest AMA sanctioned MC club in Ohio, and I am the youngest one in it by 20 years. Most of the guys are retired, but...

    Intros!

My name is Byron. Technically, I live in Lawrenceburg, IN, but am a member of the Cincinnati Cavaliers. Have been riding for about 13 years. I currently own an 1100 Shadow, a 996 Superhawk, and the reason I'm on this forum.....a 1978 Yamaha XS750 Cafe'd.

    1977 Yamaha XS750 - The Villain

You'll hate those EMGO pods. The lip inside on the rubber flange blocks some of the holes on the carbs. I trimmed mine out, but still didn't like them. Found some pods simliar to the MIKESXS pods, but a lot cheaper. Fit right on. I'll see if I can find the website again, but you need 52mm pods...

    XS750 Carb woes

Another thing to look at is your throttle cable. make sure that it is not catching on something. It may be just as simple as that. I am having XS750 carb issues also, but mostly due to switching to pods instead of the stock airbox, and trying to dial in the jets/needle setting. I also took an...

    My '78 XS750

Bought this bike last November, not running. Removed tach, turn signals, rear fender. Installed clubman bars. Turned 2 man seat into a gas tank/solo seat. Replaced fuse box, rebuilt forks, chopped and lowered front fender. Too many other things to name.
