    Voltage to starter

Hey guys, anyone know what the voltage going to the starter relay, then from there to the starter is supposed to be? I think my starter relay is good (according to the repair manual tests), but the starter doesn't turn over. I have a freshly charged new battery, so that is not the problem...

    KZ440 starter relay

Thanks for the help guys. Electrics are logic, but still frustrating at times. Anyways, all the leads to the solenoid are good, so I tried the jumper cable trick you suggested and still got nothing. I then attached one end of the jumpers to the positive battery terminal and the other...

    KZ440 starter relay

Battery voltage is a little over 12V. I just got it and charged it, so i figured that wasn't the problem. When I followed the instructions in the owners manual, it passed the ohm-reading test (connect across the terminals of the relay and push starter button, the relay is good if it clicks and...

    KZ440 starter relay

Hey guys, when I push the starter button on my bike, the only thing that happens is the starter relay clicks. Is this because there isn't enough voltage being supplied to turn the starter? It shouldn't be, because I have a fresh new battery. Input is greatly appreciated, I really want to get...

Re: Modern cafe, "Project Kool-Aid"...ONE pic of the roller Wow, first of all those LED's are sweet. Second, the bike looks freakin' awesome even though "it's not done by a long shot". This build has me thinkin I want to do a streetfighter if I ever get around to finishing my cafe! Keep up...

Getting gasoline in carb w/o using the tank

well, I won't say mine didn't leak a bit, but it worked out alright. I first found an empty Publix/ Zephyrhills plastic water bottle, then drilled out the cap just a little bit smaller than the size of my fuel line. I then shoved the fuel line into the hole, and there was a pretty tight seal...

    CB360 - Penelope

We are on a tight budget as well, but haven't had to pay for anything yet. Also, I'm hoping that it will open up plenty of doors for me in the future as well!

    CB360 - Penelope

any updates? This build is sweet, I love all the fab work. On another note, I am getting started in SAE at my school, its a pretty awesome program. The knowledge I've been learning is great, and its cool to be able to build a car without having to pay for anything :D

Re: Modern cafe, "Project Kool-Aid"...seat support done Awesome build, just read through it. I'm excited to see what you're plan in for all the lights, I dig cool stuff with LED's. You're attention to detail is superb. Do you happen to know what kind of bike that was on page 3 that had all...

Getting gasoline in carb w/o using the tank

not quite sure... there is no fuel pump on my KZ440 but there were two lines coming out of the petcock when I got it... the one that wasn't the fuel line just attached at this random spot at the carb. Could it be there if either a) there was a fuel pump on it when it was stock or (b) if you...

Getting gasoline in carb w/o using the tank

OK, so it doesn't matter if the vacuum line is attached to anything?

    Stock Tank or not.

Personally, I haven't decided but am pretty sure that on my cafe project, I'm going to paint the frame electric blue, have a polished aluminum seat and tank, and have black/ blue accents throughout the rest of the bike (black wheels and front shocks). Kinda similar to your second idea with the...
