The bike is finished...or is it? You are never done! Although it may look done, there is some tweaks and tuning that is ahead of me. Right now...I am pretty happy how it came out. I finished in May and just started riding it. This is how it looked May 5th at the Quail show.

I am thrilled to read your post...I have the exact bike in probably the exact same condition as yours was in when I got it. I am also getting ready to dig into her. Mine has a nice dent the tank and front fender (which need replacing) but the rest is quite stock..which is kind of the way I may...
I have a strip that I was going to use, but attaching them with glue or tie straps was the only way...glue may not hold with the vibration of the SR and tie straps didn't provide the look I was after.
Take your seat Hoop, and cut a groove in the back of it so that the LED strip fits inside...
are you mounting the stock light or something aftermarket? Round, oval, LED strip? Look at the bottom of my page to see what I did if that helps.

Thought I'd post a few on the front end.. I decided on using the 1999/2000 Yamaha R6 forks since this seemed like a fairly easy enhancement...I saw them first on a TT500 Flat Track bike and thought they bolted right up...I was wrong again! But since I wanted a modern SR500 with fully adjustable...
I know how you feel...it's easy to get started on something..it's equally as easy to get distracted; I do it all the time. I just sent my stator out for rewind.. $275 for this work but it will be one less thing to worry about. Good Luck!
