    Anyone had gearbox failure?

glad to hear the gearbox issue sorted itself out. yeah extra tension on the chain can change gear changes. a nice slow and positve gear change , letting the engine do the work to slot it into gear is the way to go, fast and hard might sometimes work, untill something breaks.

    Christmas makeover

cool, looking good. led ilights are good, they reduce the amps running though the thin wiring on the ace. which is a good thing i left my old indicator tabs on, i have this crazy idea to use them as either a camera mounting system to get the camera high in the air with a frame or for saddle bag...

5 Minute Fix for the older rear brake setup on the ACE

today i had a look at the rear actuater arm on the drum and noticed it wasnt really a the right angle to utilise the force of the main linkage to the front well. a percentage of the force goes into pulling the arm inwards towards the drum pivot instead of rotaing around it. you can see in the...

5 MINUTE FIX talking about the back brakes got me thinking again how to make the back drum better on the older aces with out too much fuss. so with that in mind i applied some high school physics to the problem and have come up with a 5 min fix for the stock brakes on the early ace. You will...

any globe you can make fit will be fine as long as it is no more wattage then the stock globe. 35/35 watt i an a ba20d 35/35 halogen for a while till it blew and now have a 5.5inch headlight with an led globe (heatsinked and fan cooled) but its not that bright. but it suits me the wiring on...

Got shocked when starting my CB

i dont know tthe bike but looking at the way its protected from touching the casing and going inside i would say no thats not it. it should go from the engine casing to the frame and another strap from the negative on the batt to the frame, or even better direct between the two heres a shot of...
