The bike is a 1982 Honda Nighthawk CB450SC that starts up no problem and before the replacing about every part the wears out from the head up shifted great. I have checked my linkage it is good, oil is good (fresh because I just rebuilt it), I pulled the left cover and the clutch...
I measured and it looked right and I was wrong. It has never been "used" it is just one link too short for me and needs a master link. I am open to offers. I paid $70 for it but would be happy with to sell it for $40 plus shipping. But I would rather trade and contribute to the community. I...
The pods are fine on it. they are the 54mm pods from Mikes XS and the bike runs like a clock no issues with the pods. The carbs are up one size on the main jet. I will admit that this was the only thing I paid a guy to do and I feel it was well worth it. I did my for seals last week and flipped...
Re: K75 RT police "Clair" Tarozzi's and all the fixings on!! check it outt!
As long as you like the way they feel they are good enough for me. Grips are not my priority. Love the look of it all still man ( minus the duct tape marks)...
I decided to just ease up a bit and save some money for something a little more aggressive. The bike rides fine and better than it should I am happy with it and am ready for something else any way good luck with your project!
I really appreciate the offer and the advice I plan to try and do it right the first try. I am sick os being stubborn, add, and rushing only to have to fix it again later. I am going to get the hang of this if it takes my whole life.
Seriously you guys are awesome. I will make a point to try and find a decent place to work on the bike if it is going to take half a day and require patience.
That is actually really relieving to hear since I noticed it and started keeping an eye on it about 2 weeks ago I was really stressing about it. I don't think I will have to drop the engine as the pictures in the clymers have it in side the frame still. Any tips you could give farther than the...
So my bike is my daily ride and I would not have that any other way. Unfortunately my head gasket is going and going quickly. The bike is a 1982 Honda Nighthawk CB450SC with around 15,000 miles on it. I am itching for another project as well. The question is how many hours do you think it would...
For starters I am drunk. Secondly I feel the exact same way. I grew up riding for sure, I got my first bike the day I learned how to ride a bicycle. It was a PW50 with training wheels on it. Later my dad had me in a set of hand-me-down leathers trying to knee drag as soon as my toes could reach...
3 weeks ago it was at least within reason of being close because I was riding with friends and I asked them to pace me to see and mine was actually lower than one of them. This was weird though funny but weird. In general it is close enough to the pace of traffic/speed limits comparison. Is it...
I was doing ton up for sure. I seriously doubt I was doing 120 in 5th gear though. I am running an 18 tooth front sprocket instead of 17 have an emgo fairing on it shorty exhaust and jetted carbs with pods. My speedo has about 4600 miles on it and I put it on about 8 or 9 months ago. It's a mini...
from the sound of it your chain has stretched a tad bit and that is normal for a new chain. just adjust it by pulling the rear wheel back the proper amount. check it in a week and I I bet it will be time to adjust again if you ride half as much as I do.
It has a Kawasaki kz400 tank on it (I think, it could be a kz440 or something like that) I know it is a Kawa though. I cut out the old cap/hole and petcock and grafted the cap and petcock from the old Nighthawk tank on it. I will probably put side covers on eventually but I am not worried about...
I can't find any that are for the Nighthawk anywhere. I would like to get stiffer ones than stock any way as I tend to ride hard and get a lot of clutch slipping. Basically I just need something that fits. Oil is good and honda specific, discs are only a few months old and are fine, cable is...
Re: 1994 BMW K75 RT police "Clair" build suggestions and ideas welcome
Dude I think you may have accidentally built a prototype of the new BMW R nine T...

I am looking for something similar, maybe bigger, older, lighter, mostly different/new-to-me. I just have to be able to ride it every day as it is my primary mode of transportation. I am located in the Phoenix...
