    Fuel-rated RTV for float-bowl gaskets?

You can not sand down the base of the carbs nor the float bowl due to obvious protrusions such as, but not limited to, float mounts, fuel passages, and overflow tubes. Hence, get a new small sharp file. Been there done that. RTV will not last, but disintegrate and cause far more issues jamming...

    Fuel-rated RTV for float-bowl gaskets?

Spend the few hours with a brand new fine file, and file the base of the carbs flat again, it is the best way.

    Custom heart taillight?

Another option that is more labour intensive is to make a mold, and cast it yourself with acrylic resin, it isnt hard, just time consuming. You would end up with exactly what you want.

    CX500 Rearsets - Tip/Hints - Ways around the shifter

Yes exactly like that! How does the shifter feel with working angles like that? I like the simplicity and lack of linkage set up. I was worried that putting the shifter at an angle so far back like that would cause binding and poor shift quality.

Kz1000 82 not starting. Will crank but no start

Your battery is NFG. That hammering sound is not enough voltage available to keep the solenoid energized. The The 0.0 is what you should get, but try it on the 2V scale on both positive and negative circuits as I explained previously. Hook up a booster battery, or vehicle. It should crank...

    Exploding Turn Signal?

The only time I have ever seen a bulb explode, is wen it is hot from being on for a long period of time, then water drips, or splashes on it, usually when there is a broken lens, but it looks like your set up is sealed and dry. Possibly just a poor quality bulb was installed during manufacturing.

The "Bomber" GL1100 project - added video

Good to know, I didnt think there was anything special about the thing, but I have issues chopping something that is in mint shape, Id rather pass it along to someone who would appreciate it as such. I have been an auto tech for enough years to see my fair share of cars hauled off for scrap...

    Brake Disk Punching Confusion

Less is more when it comes to drilled rotors. The more holes you put in the rotor, the more material you are taking away from the heatsink properties of the rotor, allowing the rotor to heat up faster, and cause brake fade faster. The last photo you posted will be your best bet.
