Do you have any programming experience? I work for an industrial automation firm, and we had a guy who was going to train to be a robot programmer (which is what I do) but he left because his old company made a ridiculous offer to bring him back. Don't have to know how to program robots, you...

there's also something to be said about the carb bank pulling from a common air source. Something that can't be achieved using pods.

    1980 cb 750c CAFE?

Re: 1980 cb 750c Need input Something I just noticed is that it looks like you have the Cycle-X 4-2-1 header with the unbaffled exhaust tip. That's a $360 piece of kit. Nice score. http://www.cyclexchange.net You should be able to put a slip-on on there to replace that tip, no problem.

    1980 cb 750c CAFE?

Re: 1980 cb 750c Need input DOHCs will make a better brat or bobber, IMHO. Take a look at Brat Style, Wrench Monkees or Cafe Racer Dreams bikes to see what I'm talking about. They've all made DOHC bikes that look fantastic. Unless you're a skilled fabricator or don't mind spending a lot on...

Cafe Racer pricing in todays economy

Valuing custom vehicles is tricky. It doesn't follow any sort of standard model, because the value is not always the sum of the parts. Sometimes it can be more, and sometimes it's less. That being said, I don't think $3-$4k is unreasonable. It would cost somebody that much to do it themselves...

    cb750k advice

If you can get one at a good price, and it's what you want, go for it... It's still a good bike. Tons of parts available for it and lots of knowledge to go around. http://forums.sohc4.net/ is a great resource.

    cb750k advice

maybe I'll catch hell for this but whatever... I think the sohc cb750 is over valued at the moment. I think there are good offerings from yamaha, suzuki and kawasaki in that displacement and age range that will be cheaper. If I had to do it over again, I probably wouldn't have gone with a DOHC...
