1975 CB360T "wing"

I was thinking about it and its possible but.. I like the look of the gauges being slightly lower than the dash. If I mounted them to the dash they would be really tall. I may make another one that holds the lip of the speedometer and then just get rid of the tach.

Its water jet cut (at a top secret shop) which cuts a line measuring about .030 so it can get into little corners and create really nice pieces. We've also done letter with it among other things. The material is 1/4 inch aluminum so its pretty tough and makes it so you could tap the holes and screw things on to it if you wanted to.

Did some polishing today..

Also thinking about remaking the dash abit.. I have a few more idea's

Currently making a new dash just need to measure the speedometer base and get it cut. It will look like this, two pieces one holding the speedometer and one holding the lights ect.

excuse the 5 minute render I could make it nicer but the real thing should be coming soon.

outstanding project you've got going there. I've got a 74 360G and I'm running absolutely NO gauges, nor lights, except for head and tail... gives a real nice clean look

Yeah I bet that would streamline it a lot, i did put a smaller rear light on recently and that really helped out the over all look. But Mass has some crazy rules about everything, so unfortunately I gotta keep everything minus the tach (which is going away with my next dash). Hopefully it will get cut tomorrow and I'll post some pictures of the bike in its current state soon.

Alright, New-er dash design strait from the water jet. (I still need to clean it up a bit and polish it). its two pieces one holds the speedometer and one holds the lights and ignition.

That green light on the headlight will get relocated to the dash in the top right hole.

So after many shapes and idea's I finally landed on this. I had it water jet cut from aluminum. The light on the headlight will be the same type as the ones I'm mounting in the dash. They are 12V LED's and they look amazing (RED/BLUE/GREEN). I'll be mounting them tomorrow and soldering them in place.

I'm thinking of making a few of these and selling them. I can powder coat them any color or polish them to mirror. This one is for the 360T and im not sure if it will fit any others but If your local I can take some measurements and design one for your bike.

I've also decided how I'm going to paint the bike over the winter. No tank badges and just a honda wing off set on the side panels (Off white & black)

I have a CB350 project that'll needs a speedo holder. would you be interested if i sent you the speedo and an old top of my triple tree? wouldn't need any indicators.

Sure, I sent you a PM but incase it doesn't get to you email me: info(at)danstgermain.com

You've done great work so far. I love the instrument panel.

I hope you don't mind a couple questions....I see that you have your right side control twisted back on the handlebars, I assume for throttle cable clearance. Did you drill holes in the bars for the control locator pins? If not, do you have anything aside from the tightness of the screws holding the controls in place?

I'd like to run clip-ons, but am unsure of the best way to do the control pins and the wiring on these old beasts. I ran the wiring through the bars on my current set up, but don't know if that's a possibility with clip-ons. May just end up with euro bars.

Also, are you able to turn the bars all the way to both sides and still clear that tank?

Thanks,

I Pulled the pins out.. and just tightened the clamp down hasn't moved a bit. But if you wanted too just drill a hole for it. Its been fine and I've never had to tighten it.

as far as wiring the clip-ons I drilled two smaller holes then used bigger bits to connect them into an oval. Then I drilled a hole in the plastic cap at the end of the bar and threaded the wiring through.. It can take awhile to do and some elbow grease but all in all its not to hard and looks better than cutting a hole in the clamp. And it clears up a lot of room in the cockpit for your ignition switch lights or whatever.

On one side YES on the other NO. Your fork stops (if you still have them on the triple tree) will stop the bars from hitting on the left. But on the right it will touch not as bad as a some bars but they do hit, the control clamp touches a little bit not enough to dent but it could. I'm planning on making a stop on the other side of the tree so it won't.

Rain Rain Rain, Thats all its been doing around here. So I haven't been able to do any work this week. I'll be finishing up the dash (I hope) tomorrow.

It's a real pain because I don't have a garage. Though the sun is shining today so my hope is getting better and better. I just need to run to advanced auto parts and find a lighter since I lost my soldering iron sparker.

WOW what a clean bike to start with! if you want to sell the old tank let me know i need someting to toy with on airbrush work

its got some dents but I'm open to offers. Then main one is from the last owner flipping the original bars then dropping it so its in the front not really on the side.

Chopped the front fender today and dropped it and the rear fender off at my friends shop "Sugar Coat Boston" for some powder. Hopefully I'm going to change the oil tomorrow and clean the filter. Maybe get some more cleaning and painting done as well. Just trying to get some stuff done before I need to put it away for the winter (I don't have a garage).

Nice build. I like the custom pieces you've added. How loud is the exhaust? I've been thinking about picking up a set of the same mufflers, but I'm a little worried that they are really loud. They look like a straight through exhaust.

Man Joe I've been trying to learn airbrushing. Got the master brush you recommended and I like it a lot. Keep us informed!

They are pretty loud. Though they did pass inspection and I never get a second glance from police. they are baffled but not much re-jetting was needed.
