or classic white. I like my silver but the gold on the original was sweet. Or something to play of the Lester mags and the silver USD
Now that I looked around. Black and a deep blue would interesting mock up. If he is throwing candy over silver flake a nice flake silver tape over pin with black or blue would be sick.
I hate gold, so I promise you there won't be gold stripes. LOL. I've considered white with the motorsport stripes, though. At this point, I'm 95% sure the tank will be red candy with smoke and the pinstripes to match the motorsport badge- dark blue and light blue. The more I look at those pics, Mike might be right with the dominant stripe as dark blue.
I can't say much on the Gold...You see mine was silver ;D. It's gonna look nice no matter what you decide. On a side note, all the pin painters were female just like the picture. Looking forward to seeing this in a couple days...I hope to get there early on Friday so I can ride around a bit. Might go destroy myself at The Beacon :-[
Still altering side covers to get the lines the way I like them. This time I cut them up and shaved the ridges out of the center of covers and altered the angle of the bottom of the covers to better reflect the tank lines.
Not quite. I just pull the top end and sorted it out. As soon as I have a carb and throttle linkage and new fuel tank, it'll fire. Interior is completely gutted for restoration this summer.
I always loved those cars. I had a 68 Road runner with a 440 4spd and a six pack hood. Every time I drove it, I had to repair it . but it was fun. Good luck with getting it going
My wiring wasn't the best job in the world. Being unfamiliar with the system on these, I didn't do a good job planning ahead. The front end was way too cluttered and just a mess. So I took a day and re-did it. In doing so, I took the opportunity to move the key switch to the side cover, while also moving the fuse panel and turn signal relay to behind the battery.
I also added a tab to the frame and drilled the side covers for a grommet and screw. I'm not at all a fan of the stock strap method.
I think I may have to re locate my ignition switch as well on the r90. The windshield I'm putting on will make it unable to operate while on the bike since it will be in front of the shield
