1979 DT100 Cafe build!

Test fitting the exhaust. I really wanted it low, but we can't have everything. Carbon fiber heat shield to go with the seat.

interesting build. the dt100 engine is better than the 125/175 imo. fun bikes. and don't worry about only running premix, it'll be fine.

Thanks all! I just don't want all the extra stuff including the oil tank. I too will be looking to sell as soon as it is done. I think it's a really cool bike, but I have to get my "big" bike back.

I am not going to run turn signals as of now. I just cant find any that I like.
Here's a suggestion. I think I'll purchase this on my ke100 when it's finished.

How will this work on my 6v system?

You can also convert that bad boy to a 12 volt system, there are some handy threads on this site about it, in the case of the dt it has a separate lighting coil so it is much simpler

you could convert to 12v as said. to run them as is, assuming you have a rectifier and battery, you can just hook up to the normal brake wires. if you don't have a rectifier, you'll need one to convert the ac voltage to dc. (technically you can red leds on ac, they just flicker, but it's at a faster rate then the human eye can see, so it doesn't really matter. but that's a whole nother topic)
