They are pretty much street legal pit bikes! Much better alternative to a scooter haha. I cannot wait until we get some where I work and I get to test ride it. Seems like you could maneuver that things like crazy, it would be fun weaving in a city. Honestly I am down to at least try one.
Same here. And the price! That's gonna have a lot of appeal to a lot of ppl. And I'm sure ppl will be boring them out before the first payment is due haha...
i would be very surprised if they show up stateside. We only get about 10% of the scooters manufactured in japan, and styling aside, this is going to be compared to scooters. Americans are stuck in the "bigger must be better, and smaller is for pussies" mentality. Sad to say.
Yep, Coming stateside confirmed and also up north here too. 3 grand is cheap for that level of fit and finish vrs a no name chinese or even a better taiwanese scooter and it has a 4 speed and clutch. the EFI will get every last pony out of the 125 as soon as a tuner gets a hold of it and lets the emmisions controls go away. My guess is a pipe and chip will be available in short order to hotrod these things as well as a big bore kit ;D

I swear converting a bike to EFI would cost $3000, so it's nice to see it on a bike so cheap. I'm thinking bore it (maybe have to stroke it?) out to 175, bigger injector, open up the exhaust, and then buy new tires after you ruin the stock ones ;D
EFI means laptop tuning and you are right that a bore and maybe stroke upgrade with injector etc. could see a hotrod version of this little bike, the chassis seems like it could handle some more power. Honda is really got a bike line up now. I want to own a CB1100, CBR500 and the Grom, it would give me all the types of bikes to ride depending on my needs or moods. now if I only had funds....LOL I am stuck making my GL do it all in one package for now.
I'm with you on that. The Madass is cool and all but the Grom just seems like more of a motorcycle to me.
Can't wait for the go fast parts, 70+mph on the Grom? Yes please.
Cannot wait for this. Was doing some calculations on the Honda website, Financing a new one would be crazy cheap. Seriously considering selling a couple of my older bikes and getting on one of these, I feel like it'd be a great daily.
