66 mustang project...

that breaks my heart. i sort of have an aversion to the old mustangs, but only because theres about two million of them around here. its like they were giving them away in Pittsburgh in the 60s. even so though, that sucks that you couldnt finish her and she died. very sad. they are bitchin cars, and like the old Honda CBs theyre so easy to mess with. not to mention the crazy aftermarket support.
 
3 1 barrels, Cool! Did you mill the log yourself? got any decent pics left over of that old linkage?

My Dad and I milled the intake and made the mounting flanges for the two additional carbs. It was a homebrew version of the Offenhouser kit. I was working 1 night a week for $4.00 /hr at the time so a lot of the parts on that car were hammered out in the garage instead of bought. The Offy kit is still available though and includes the linkage. The big difference is the Offy linkage is progressive and we had all three carbs dumping fuel full time. That little 6 got the worst gas mileage! I'd go with the offy kit if I were to ever do it again.
