Just wanted to add some detailed pictures of the pipes so that everyone who is interested can see exactly what they're like. For the most part, the pipes are in good shape. The mufflers don't necessarily require replacement, but the back sides are quite rusty. There is no rot, however. you'll see on the right side pipe the muffler was patched, but appears to be done quite well and does not leak. The patch is not visible when the pipes are on the bike with the heat shield installed (I didn't even know it was there until i took them off). The right header pipe is still in very good shape, no rust and only minor scratches. Unfortunately, in appears someone welded the muffler to the header instead of clamping it so it will have to be cut off if the muffler is replaced. Not a big deal for someone with a die-grinder. The left side header pipe is not in as good condition as the right. There's a good amount of surface rust but it is not very visible when the pipe is on the bike. As for the muffler, it appears to be in much better condition with less rust. It is also properly clamped on.
I'm trying to be as transparent as possible, hence all of the pictures. This post has been up for a few weeks now and it just randomly began to generate interest. I have a low post count because this is the first motorcycle I've ever owned. If you choose not to trust me, that is you're prerogative but I am certainly not looking to rip anyone off. By the way, we had no "deal" to begin with, dragonfish.

The next group of pics is the right pipe.
