74 CB360- New Pictures

Re: 74 CB360

They are Shinkos. The SKUs on Motorcycle Superstore are 142561 for the rear 3.5 x 18 and 142560 for the front 3.0 x 18. $32 for the rear and $25 for the front. I also got the rim strips from them (SKU: 40849) Hope this helps! ~stout

Re: 74 CB360

No wonder they looked familiar, I just bought a set for my 360! when I first got them I thought they were a little too aggressive but they've grown on me. I'm doing 4.1" X 18 front and rear. I'm lacing a rear rim to the front hub to take the wide tire. Thanks for the info!

Re: 74 CB360

yeah, they are meaty that's for sure... but I like em on my RD so far and my buddy really wanted them on his 360 too.

Re: 74 CB360

I finally have the controls put back together. Appliance paint takes forever to cure! I started out baking them at 170 for an hour and figured for sure they would be cured, but I ended up smudging one of them... so I baked at 200 for a couple more hours this morning, then assembled and mounted em and put the new mirrors on too; billet with integrated turn signals. ~stout

Re: 74 CB360

Thanks. They are actually smaller than I thought they would be (which is good). I spent about as much on them as I did the tires :) - Stout

Re: 74 CB360

I made some fork covers out of exhaust tubing ~stout

and I'm not sure about the white header pipes yet; have to see what they look like on the bike. I might end up using header wrap on em.:

Headed home for the weekend to celebrate Christmas with the fam... that'll give these a chance to cure without me wanting to screw with them :)

Everyone have a Happy New Year!

Re: 74 CB360

Loving this build and can't wait to see more. Are you using appliance paint for everything?

Re: 74 CB360

Yeah, you really keep things moving, makes it easier to stay in to the build when it happens quickly.

That white will look pretty tough after it gets a little dirty/gritty

Re: 74 CB360

Yeah just using appliance paint. That helps keep it on budget instead of pc. Gotta go back to work on Monday so itll slow down some. Thanks Stout

Re: 74 CB360

Here are some pics of the parts I painted on Friday assembled. Looks like I'm gonna need to order some new exhaust gaskets before final assembly.

Re: 74 CB360

If the pictures are sideways you'll just have to til your head. I've tried 3 times to get them to come in right and it isn't working for me. They look correct in photobucket! grrhhh...

Re: 74 CB360

Just picked the frame up from the painter's on my lunch break. Sand blasted, primed (epoxy primer), and painted gloss black: $40.... doesn't get much less expensive :)

Re: 74 CB360

Nice and good deal on the Paint, rattle can paint and primer would have cost you 20-30 for good quality and you would have had to do all the work yourself.

Kind of like the white pipes, just not sure if they will stay white after heat + dirt from roads hit it. But kind of cool anyway.

I don't believe you. How the hell did you pull that off? The powder guy here wants me to do all the prep work and it would still cost me $300 to get the frame done!
