Im getting ready to order some of these from Dime City--I just dont know about everyday riding compared to standard tires - they look hella good though ;D
Just as I have been told about using the stock rear rim....looks like your spokes are bent at the base where it meets the nipple...? Am I seeing things??
can post a close up of the front wheel? I have been told that bending that spokes can be 'bad'...
Just ordered 2 rims and front spokes from Buchanan's.
I let them know that I was going to use the stock rear DID 18 rim in the front. Kennie from buchanan's (nice guy) said that because the rear is drilled for a 9 inch hub you are going to get bending of the spokes if you use it on the front with the smaller hub.
But he also said, it is more of a visual problem and is OK from a safety aspect.
Personly I don't like the look of bent spokes so I ordered a new rim for my 78K.
Just in case your wondering, I'm using a 2.75 rear and a 2.15 front (both 18").
