Thanks I get alot of complaments where ever I go.

The tire sizes are 450/18 front and rear, the front rim is stock 18" rear rim. not the stock 19"rim.

The tires are Firestone Deluxe Champions.

I like the look of those fatty chunky tires, they compliment a nice looking bike.

You know, I really have no clue about bobber-style tires like that. are they car tires? bike specific? are they worth a damn at all in the turns???

Just curious. The bike does look sweet.

Thanks man. I have alot more work to do on this bike.

STSJO - you still out there? You're pics are not showing up and I just discovered this thread last week.

I PM'd and emailed. Sorry to stalk you...but i'm hoping you can tell me what 18" front hoop you used to build your front rim.

I am trying to find one...without breaking the bank at buchanan...cheaper options. Which did you use to do the swap to an 18" in the front?

thanks!

Sorry for the delay, computer was down, Use a 18" rim from the the rear of cb750 k.

I don't know why my photo's are not up, but I think I have to go threw photbucket now ?

Just as I have been told about using the stock rear rim....looks like your spokes are bent at the base where it meets the nipple...? Am I seeing things??

can post a close up of the front wheel? I have been told that bending that spokes can be 'bad'...

no love on the pics of the front wheel?

just wanna see the results of attempting that solution...

Just ordered 2 rims and front spokes from Buchanan's.

I let them know that I was going to use the stock rear DID 18 rim in the front. Kennie from buchanan's (nice guy) said that because the rear is drilled for a 9 inch hub you are going to get bending of the spokes if you use it on the front with the smaller hub.

But he also said, it is more of a visual problem and is OK from a safety aspect.

Personly I don't like the look of bent spokes so I ordered a new rim for my 78K.

Just in case your wondering, I'm using a 2.75 rear and a 2.15 front (both 18").

Cheers

Thanks for the info from buchanans, I will call Kenny and order a new front rim and
spokes.

I don't care for the cheap Thailand spokes.
