'75 cb200t cafe build

Looking good. Just wondering who you went with for the cables and which brake switch you got? I need to get those ordered for my bike, too.

Hey Man, Thanks for the nice words. The clutch cable came from ebay, shipped from singapore(OEM honda), and the brake and throttle cable from The Motor Cafe (hondapeninsula), which i ordered 2-28 and have not received. The brake light switch is a Magura for the Magura brake lever and Dennis Kirk carries them.

The bike is looking absolutely incredible. I recently started on a 74 cb200 for my wife, I may be hitting up for some advice.

Thanks! I hope to get the top end together next week. If so, shouldn't be long...

The build is looking great!

Where did you order the replacement cam chain from? I was thinking about replacing mine but I was worried about putting a new chain on old sprockets... as I've always heard your not supposed to do with a drive chain; any thoughts?

Aw hell man! I don't know how I missed this build! You've done a stellar job on her so far, and I really really like that paint. Top notch sir.

I know it has been said before, but love the look of the gold rims,

Something simple, but sets it apart

Am enjoying the build so far, sure to keep following

Just got back from Fastenal getting SS allen bolts for the front end. Need to go back and get some more plus for the cases. I ordered some seat foam from McMaster-Carr today as well. My Dad came over to inspect the project today and was pleased. Told me to take the valves out again and open the exhaust ports a bit more, will do.

Picked up the additonal ss allen bolts yesterday and needed a size they didn't have, will be in tonight. Seat foam showed up. Can't wait to make some more progress.

I don't like things that are stupid. These, are stupid. .4lb a piece. Just ordered some 3" aluminum to make my own. I got the exhaust ports to my liking and the head is back together and ready. I'm having so much fun on this project!

A little update: I got a new Dyna coil off of Ebay for $26.00 this weekend and just talked to the upholstery guy and dropped my seat and foam off for him. Silver with a black stripe. Should look ok. Waiting for cam chain and assembly here we come.

I got my aluminum and am going to start widdling it down this weekend for the Ex collars. I got the new cam chain and threaded through. Once again, progress, but at a snail's pace. New pics will be up Sunday night.

So, I was busy on the lathe and drill press this weekend. Got the collars made and this is what I came up with. The stock ones weigh 8oz ea and these weigh 2oz ea. Pretty pleased, now I have to get some stuff bolted together!
