so first post, no need for much of an introduction but i recently started a 78' cb750f cafe racer project. i own a repair shop with access to all kinds of tools including tig/mig welders so when it comes to fabbing something up, i'm no jesse james, but can get things good enough.
anyways, my question is, and YES i've searched (not new to the forum thing) and can't seem to find much info about it (even on sohc forums). i'm just gonna copy and paste what i posted in sohc forums because i hate typing.

anyways, i picked up a set of 01' gsx-r 1000 rear sets for my 78' cb750f, and want to get them mounted on the bike. i know i'm gonna have to weld a tab/mounting location on the frame somewhere and get shorter engine mount thru bolts etc.
my main concern is with the shifter linkage. i feel like its really going to be alot of trial/error to get the linkage right and dont want to order too little or more than what i need interms of a custom linkage kit. my other concern is getting something that will fit the splines of the shifter shaft.
if anyone can point me in the right direction and post up some pics of how specifically you mounted your rear sets, that'd be greatly appreciated. i dont want to go about welding a tab on, mounting them, and realizing that where i welded to would physically be impossible to get a linkage set up.
also, if anyone can point me to a site that offers DIY linkage kits
thanks in advance
