did the mock up on 1/2" MDF board just to make sure it works out then will do it on 1/2" plate aluminum

Roland sorry to bother you dude but I have not received your email with the template.
Please don't forge me! :)

Looks good, how were you planning on cutting the aluminum?

It will work but its tough. Use a coarse blade and you'll have to coat it with candle wax every couple inches. When cutting aluminum I'll cut the Al until blade clogs, then clean it by cutting a peice of steel, then cut a peice of candle wax to lube the blade.

great thanks roland for the tip. i've never done it before so this helps.

I think im going to attempt this as well, but ill take this template to a workshop and have them professionally cut the bracket out, is there a specific thickness ? also could someone PM me the template?

Roland, is your swing arm bolt one of the bolts holding this bracket on, if so did you need to get a longer bolt or was there enough length to allow for the new bracket?

I used 1/2" aluminum. If you go to page 2 of this thread and click on the template that I posted it will open it full size, then right click on that and click save as and save it to your pictures on your computer. You will then be able to print it actual size. Basically that picture was uploaded actual size. Due to printing variances you will probably need to go back and make sure the holes are the exact distance apart to fit your bike.

Good luck!

I actually had to shorten and re-thread both bolts that connect to my brackets. They are the swingarm bolt and rear motor mount.
