80s repli racer for the street and now to Eddie

Thanks guys! Cleaned the carbs last night, all I have to work out is the upper fairing stays and she is done!will post more when it finished.

One very interesting thread, but with dead pic links it's just a TEASE ennit? PLEASE folks, could we update the old pic links on our own projects? Sheesh.

On a side note, I've got a wire-spoke rear disc hub from an '80s Honda two-smoke racer of the 125cc-250cc variety. Was shopping for a Yam TZ750 hub or thereabouts, got this thing instead. It's pretty compact & lightweight, but no cush-drive on it and the sprocket and rotor are light enough that any bike which it's suitable for, well I'D rather use a DRUM hub on it -

But let's say you're after an authentic '80s thing and the rear disc brake on a light-weight wire-spoke rim is IMPORTANT to you, just sayin' - the hub should be used on an actual repli-racer. 'Cause let's face it - a rear disc brake on a CUB or PASSPORT type of thing is just ... lame.

Trying to think of what the model designation for the thing was - listed improperly when I bought it but SFAIK it's for an MTB125 ... just pulling that out of my hat, guess I should research photos again and paint the designation on the sprocket or rotor or whatever, that way the proper name will stick in my head. Four bolt sprocket, appropriate gauge & size for a little Cub like I say, and a three bolt rotor gotta be around 210mm. I should get some pics of it and post it on the "for sale" forum - but like I say, I think it needs to go to a particular type of build - Wouldn't want to see somebody jump on the chance to stick a rear disc hub on a SOHC-4, where an actual SOHC-4 FRONT hub would be a better fit than this thing. Pretty light-weight and delicate stuff. Seems really only up to the job of a very small & lightweight road racer, preferably 50cc to 125cc....

Whatever - PLEASE fix your pic links, folks - woodja?

You do realize this is a 4 year old thread and the OP has not logged on in about 1.5 years, right?
