Ha! Thanks Rich, but that knobby + the highway = bad news bears. The matching front to my rear tire (which is brand new) is only $60. No biggie.

Quick final mock up. Still on the to do list:

Finalize and weld up the rear brake master and caliper stay.
Fab a headlight bracket.
Order a new front tire.
A shitload of cleaning and paint.
Build a wiring harness.
Finish the exhaust.
Cross fingers.
Kick start.

Thanks. At the moment the exhaust is unfinished, so my neighbors would fucking hate me. Haha. I had to cut the end off of the header as it hit the hardtail. I need to fab up a pipe with internal silencer of some sort to quiet it down for sure. My last chop (also an XS) ran open high pipes, and I hated how loud it was.

Home made chain tensioner in progress. Stole the idea from a member of XS650.com. I'm beefing mine up a bit more than his, but same basic idea. Saves me $125.
