83 XV920 - yeah it's a virago, but not for long

Definitely not dead, just placed on temporary hold. I spent most of the summer working on outside chores, and then it was hunting season. After the holidays, I'll be back into it!

New here - picking up an xv500 tomorrow for dirt cheap!

Thanks for the kick in the shorts! I have been working on the bike, just really slowly - and haven't been posting any updates. I need to get some pictures up, will get my ass in gear shortly!
 
Tiny bit of a hijack - has anyone seen a good 535 cafe racer as I'm looking for a donor bike and nearly every one seems to be a 535 but whenever I search all the builds seem to be bigg spoked er bikes? I'm thinking the lighter weight of the 535 could be good plus a lot of them have spoked wheels which you could re-do. What is stopping people using them?
