A few words.

Can we get an I LIKE button on here? :D
Welcome to DTT Jackstraw650 very well put. There are a bunch of swell guys here as you can see. Most of them have posted on this thread, cause they care.
Anyhow, I'm looking forward to your build, I have an XS650 (73' TX650) myself.

Mike, I'll be in the Burgh for 24 hours starting tomorrow meeting up with Roadrash (jim) You should come by and hang out for a bit.

Man I just saw this thread... for a while I was a bit MIA... well I think yall hit it right on the head... I have been here a while and I really consider some of you friends, even if we have never physically met. I think in order to keep what some of us hold dear about this site it starts with those of us that have been here a while. I know now, I am way more reserved it what I comment on and what builds I peruse. There are just so many now it is hard to keep track. But I try and let those that I consider friends know I am watching and lend advice when I can. I really love this place... I have helped in the buying of motorcycles for people that I have never met because of this site... name another place like that.

To those of you I call friends, let me tell ya how much i appreciate your input, insight, and education... Yall know who you are... Heres to 2011, lets make it awesome!

??? I don't understand the comments of members being rude, or standoffish to new guys.
When some one posts and is respectful and congenial like, "Hi guys, nice site you have here. I dig old bikes, especialy cafe racers. I have done yadda yadda yadda, and hope to share yadda yadda yadda."
He is warmly welcomed and genuine interest is shown in his stuff.

::) Granted, if someone posts a first post like," You poser bitches with your japcrap cheap replica cafes, dont belong on the same road as me and my Triton gold-plated awsomeness built by Sammy Sackswinger."
He gets hit on the ear with a sock full of nickles.

And I for one wouldn't have it any other way. 8)

You owe me a new keyboard, I just lost it blew my drink all over the place. :p

I'm going to have to steal that one.

Why are you guys picking on Sammy Sackswinger? He is just a minor player in the highly competitive world of poseur cafe racer building. What about Nigel Nuttwirller? Scott Scrotelshot? And probably the most famous of all, that well known Brit builder, Sir Reginald Rectalprober! Remember, part of holding up the reputation of our forum is to play fair and let no douche go unrewarded!!
