Acetobefest anyone?

I will not support ANYTHING TonUpChicago is involved in.
Just look at their website --->http://www.tonupchicago.com/
It was taken down/put on hold because Larry (pres of TonUpChicago) is so shady he hasnt paid for webhosting for MONTHS !
So the last thing I nor ANYONE should do is support an event (such as this) that will just put more money in his pocket...

Nice. Hosting is like $8 a month. Gotta be pretty cheap to not pay that.

Domain Names are cheap...and this time we were smart enough to register our own:

The Ton-up club puts on great events period.
If you are into Cafe Bikes/Rocker Culture in Chicago their events are the best around.

ProTeal didn't you and your halffast crew move on to Harley's and bobbers/choppers anyways?

Well OK, maybe the weather wasn't awesome, but the turnout was fantastic...a BIG thank you to all who came out to Acetoberfest.
The Friday night reception was far beyond our expectations and the weather was really nice. We had about fifty bikes do the ride over
to the Bottom Lounge for the Cafe Racer (TV) Premier.

Check out the Teaser here: Cafe Racer TV Promo: Airing on Discovery HD Theater October 13th @ 9PM EST

And you can stay updated on the show here: http://caferacertv.com/

On Saturday, as I said above, the weather was a mixed bag of Rain / Drizzle / Wind / then Sun but the turnout all day was HUGE. The biggest AceFest yet.
Kudos to everyone who came out....you guys were great, you all stayed all day, through the showers, drank us out of all the brew, took in some great
live Rockabilly from Highway 13 and made it a great event! It says volumes about the Cafe seen that you all came out on a Raw day and supported the event.

Again a BIG thank you,

Cheers,

Agreed hell of a turn out, the rain was on and off all day but it didn't matter. Good times.

I wasn't able to make the event. Does anyone have any pictures that they can post and share? Thanks!

Really man? Seriously?...

I used to post sporatically on your forum's and lurk.. but everytime I see you going out of your way to bash Ton-Up I think less and less of your club. Not only that, but I went to Acetober with some friends. I didn't really interact with any Ton Up guys, but the event itself was awesome. There were tons of really cool builds, there was fairly priced beer, and when I went back to the brat stand because I had forgotten to pay the lady serving up the brats informed me that they were on the house. The event was fucking awesome, and I hope this gets bigger each year.. maybe we'll get the alderman to shut down the block to cars? Furthermore Ace is a cool little shop, and as far as I can tell Chad is a stand up guy. So even if you insist on letting the whole world know that you have a grudge against Ton Up, why would you insist on trying to keep people away from Ace, a shop that is doing a lot for the scene?

As I've stated dozens of times, I have no interest in taking sides, much less joining any motorcycle club. And I really don't know or care about all the details behind the beef. But I have to say that you certainly aren't making your club seem like "the bigger man." Trying to dissuade others from attending a Ton Up sponsored event because they forgot to pay their website hosting bill is beyond ridiculous. Why not throw events of your own? I'm sure you do, but why not just try to outdo Ton Up's events.. this seems like a much more healthy (for you, and for the vintage bike community as a whole) way to channel your grudge.

I really hope you don't take this personally, I am not trying to attack you, I just am calling it how I see it. If you do throw an event, I'd love to come out and support it, just as I went out to support Acetoberfest, and just as I'll go out and support any positive vintage motorcycle event.

As I said in a eariler post elsewhere ont his forum I am done talking about this issue (as people want me to be)..
My grandpa used to say "Everything comes out in the wash" and thats kinda how I feel this whole thing will end up in the end.
It's starting to get shitty here in Chicago, so get those projects goin !
