I am also a huge fan of the original Shelby cars... one day I hope to put one in my garage, even if it is just a licenced copy like Factory 5 or Superformance. The Daytona ranks high up there in the top 10 coolest cars of all time. The only Shelby Cobra that is rarer that I can remember ATM is the Cobra Dragonsnake, of which there were only two built. I think there were actually 6 real Daytona's built, TDC, but I could be mistaken. Either way, I am super-evnvious that you actually got to hear/see one of the originals in the metal. Damn cool.
Interesting fact: in the early 90's, I think it was Road & Track magazine that did a comparo of modern (at the time) sports cars. They threw in an original 60's cobra 427 as well, and guess who was fastest, beating out a Porsche 911?
