I may be young but I'm not stupid. No need to show off to anyone. That said, no stunting for me.
Here's a little copy and paste from the GSR.
"I got a little story to tell you guys. If anyone has been following my GS450's build thread on the GS Resources, then you know about my Suzuki hating uncle.
I know this is a personal problem but it's kinda starting to get out of hand. Yeah, I rode my new GSXR home today and parked inside the garage so that I can look things over and work on it. I was sanding the side fairings to reveal the original paint and about 30 mins ago, I decided to call it a day. And just now, I was hungry so I went to the kitchen but there was a strong smell of gasoline. I went into the garage only to find my new GSXR on the ground sideways, spilling gasoline everywhere.
The bike was on the center stand and there is no way it could fallen over like that unless it was forced. I'm sure my house isn't haunted and there are only 2 other people in the house: my dad (who loves the bike
) and my uncle who hates Suzuki's
. He's the Harley lover. You all remember him, yes? I know it was him but I don't exactly have proof.
I didn't give him the spartan dropkick yet but I think it's about time. What should I do?
The damage report. The bike fell over to the right so there is only damage to the right side.
- dented and scratched exhaust
- bent right footpeg
- bent front brake handle
- broken bar end
- scratched up right engine cases
- gas tank is wasted. Giant hole. Landed on a wood block.
- cracked right mirror
- slightly cracked around the seat area
I was so lucky that I was working on the right fairing and had it removed. I know it would have cracked into pieces if I left it on. But that doesn't even matter. The rest of the right side is broke.
What do I do? I swear I'm about to do
something... Either I go or my uncle goes. It doesn't matter how..." --- 3-18-11
"Well, last night I slapped on my original gas tank, filled it up, and rode away in the night. Right now I'm getting my new tires installed and a complete check up at the shop. Luckily, they have a few GSXR parts so I got my bike fixed and now I have an Akrapovic exhaust. I only have the clothes and gear on me, my phone, my wallet, and my GSXR. I should have brought the camera with me since I'm going across country. Well, see you guys in a month or so. I just need to get away for a little bit." --- 3-19-11
I'm not a big time poster here but I am a huge lurker. Chances are no one here knows who I am. That said, I am going across country and I may meet some of you guys. I am the guy with the black '04 GSXR. The name's Allen. Hope to meet some of you guys, if at all possible. Later.
