Wow! You guys are good! Correct. It's a 2004 Suzuki GSXR750. The headlight was a big giveaway. Yup, completely stock. All that was done was an all gloss black paint job

. According to the title, it was originally blue and white. I would have so preferred the blue and white over the all black.

Originally looked something like this minus the extra stickers.

Now here's the best part. The price!

I got this lovely bike for... drum roll...... $700! WOW!!! It's that low because it was sitting for almost 5 years so the bike wouldn't start anymore. He also said that he was moving soon and could not bring the bike with him. All it needed was a new battery

Here's a little advice. Keep your eyes on craigslist! You never know when you'll find something like this.

Part of the reason why I bought this bike is for the track :) Another reason why was that I only had one bike, which is still project so I needed another bike. One I can ride and one I can wrench 8)

I was going to get a Yoshimura can sometime soon. And I will try those bulbs! Thanks!

the only reason why I knew it was an 04 is because I think I have one under a tarp in my parents garage next to my 66 BSA...

I'll have to have a look.. :)

congrats on the GSXR :D I really miss my 1k some times. Not so much the power I miss, but the handling. You want to see a big difference get rid of the stock GSXR wheels and get a set of OZs or Marvics. Night and day difference in acceleration, braking, and flickabilty. The stock wheels weigh a ton in comparison to a good set of Marvics.

I ride a GS750 (which I also bought not running, for similar minor reasons-battery, and the previous owner didn't know how to prime it)...guess that makes it your Gixxer's long lost ancestor or something.

Just don't try to do a forward flip on your new bike. Of all the crazy bike stunt videos, that one's got to be a winner!

I may be young but I'm not stupid. No need to show off to anyone. That said, no stunting for me.

Here's a little copy and paste from the GSR.

"I got a little story to tell you guys. If anyone has been following my GS450's build thread on the GS Resources, then you know about my Suzuki hating uncle.

I know this is a personal problem but it's kinda starting to get out of hand. Yeah, I rode my new GSXR home today and parked inside the garage so that I can look things over and work on it. I was sanding the side fairings to reveal the original paint and about 30 mins ago, I decided to call it a day. And just now, I was hungry so I went to the kitchen but there was a strong smell of gasoline. I went into the garage only to find my new GSXR on the ground sideways, spilling gasoline everywhere.

The bike was on the center stand and there is no way it could fallen over like that unless it was forced. I'm sure my house isn't haunted and there are only 2 other people in the house: my dad (who loves the bike

) and my uncle who hates Suzuki's

. He's the Harley lover. You all remember him, yes? I know it was him but I don't exactly have proof.

I didn't give him the spartan dropkick yet but I think it's about time. What should I do?

The damage report. The bike fell over to the right so there is only damage to the right side.
  • dented and scratched exhaust
  • bent right footpeg
  • bent front brake handle
  • broken bar end
  • scratched up right engine cases
  • gas tank is wasted. Giant hole. Landed on a wood block.
  • cracked right mirror
  • slightly cracked around the seat area
I was so lucky that I was working on the right fairing and had it removed. I know it would have cracked into pieces if I left it on. But that doesn't even matter. The rest of the right side is broke.

What do I do? I swear I'm about to do something... Either I go or my uncle goes. It doesn't matter how..." --- 3-18-11

"Well, last night I slapped on my original gas tank, filled it up, and rode away in the night. Right now I'm getting my new tires installed and a complete check up at the shop. Luckily, they have a few GSXR parts so I got my bike fixed and now I have an Akrapovic exhaust. I only have the clothes and gear on me, my phone, my wallet, and my GSXR. I should have brought the camera with me since I'm going across country. Well, see you guys in a month or so. I just need to get away for a little bit." --- 3-19-11

I'm not a big time poster here but I am a huge lurker. Chances are no one here knows who I am. That said, I am going across country and I may meet some of you guys. I am the guy with the black '04 GSXR. The name's Allen. Hope to meet some of you guys, if at all possible. Later.

What??!! Man, I'm sorry to hear about that craziness. I am generally terrible about giving advice so I'll keep my mouth shut. Did you ask your Dad or uncle what happened?

Anything I can do to help man..........

NoobZooki, that is seriously fucked up! Better days are ahead I'm sure.
There is a lot to be said for independence, but it still SUCKS when you can't count on family.

nice bike great score. as for your uncle goes thats fucked up i grew up with all harley guys in my family and there friends, long story short they bust my balls about having a cb 400t and a cb200. its not that i cant buy a harley its that i dont want one. but for your uncle show him your pimp hand

I'd be so pissed that I probably wouldn't even say anything. Just swift and blinding violence! Then, I'd make that fuck pay for a EVERTHING. Does he even have a Hardley? If he didn't pay up... wellll

I am a bit confused? your bike does not have a center stand? i have seen several GSXR's fall over if the stand is not pulled forward, to the point where my buddies that ride them get off and double check... also is it lowererd at all? if it has a stock stand it will fall... Sucks man... but if you think it was the unlce i would consult your old man and call his ass out! that is FKd up... i would be insane pissed... never understand the bs hd vs sportbiker deal... all bs if you ask me. we have none of that out here that i have ever seen, well... except for the credit card riders (the guys that go to hd buy a new bike, anything that says HD on it, and leave with the i am better than you attitude...)

You need a 20 dollar claw hammer and three mins with his bike dont slip in the oil
