Bratstyle

Its a flat pan with about a 20 degree bend up 3/4's of the way back you can see the pan in the picture, and it's held down by two bolts, you can see the two tabs in the picture, I threaded the seat pan. Very easy to remove and is held pretty securely

jampoel, awesome job man!!! .... the hoop looks good too .... was thinking of doing the same thing. I'm guessing you cut out the fender bracket at the back of the frame to get that flat pan?

100 bucks!! I think mine hit 300 Canadian though yes up I cut off all the brackets, seat hinge and some other bits that got in the way. Ran out of cutting wheels and patience so the seat lock is still on till the winter when it gets tore down to the frame. I'll get a close up shot of the seat soon

The seats in this thread are awesome.

What really constitutes "brat" style though? I've never heard of it

Bratstyle is a genre of bikes that are part cafe and part bobber. They are usually lowered and have the seat style that you see on this thread.....check out Bratstyle.com.....the language is in Japanese but the bike pics speak for themselves.
Also, check out Wrenchmonkees.com ..... these guys are from Danemark but have similar style.

So.. just a quick update...
here is where I am with my seat... All done $0.
I just used whatever parts and stuff i had laying around...

I'll put a proper build thread up soon.. Im just waiting for the turn signals to come in then its on the road...

Still not 100% sure about the big tail/brake light yet... we'll see how I feel about it tomorrow!!..

The shape and lines of that seat is def brat but the original cover probably is what takes away from it .... don't know about that tail light though, man! Like you said, it's "big" .... ok .... it's huge bro! I would go with something smaller and something that doesn't mess up the lines! ;) Cheers!

He's riding htis in downtown Toronto. He wants that huge light to hit the cagers right in the face and wake them up that he is stopping ;D I agree though, it is too big. But if the build is use what you got, use it.

yeah.. I think I'll change it at some point, as well as having the seat properly recovered... but thats gonna be a winter thing.. If I come across another taillight at the Milton swap meet in October then I'll swap it out then... but for now, I just want to ride it!!..
