Bratstyle

Got tired of the 'original' seat I did on this build, (and needed 2-up capability) so I re-did the seat- More WM than Brat...

Some good looking seats in here, guys...

Nice lookin seat....what did u use for the pan?

@jp-
Lots of tape, plastic wrap, corrugated plastic sheet, and fiberglass. Threw in some aluminum bones on the second lay-up for stiffness and support. I'm working on another, I'll take pics this time around... This one was just screwing around...

Foam is a camp-pad (walmart, $5) layered and shaped, G/F stitched the cover.

How tall are your seats. I want to build one on a piece of PLY, nice and flat. I was thinking 1/2 ply then about 1.5 inches of foam. I am using black vynil stitched with batting, to get the raised look. I Have really dense foam i got from a surplus store. It was and old military sleeping pad. bike is a 73 cb350 with the original tank. I im thinking if i go any higher it wont look too good. Let me know if anyone could get me some heights?

The only hard and fast rule is that its NOT stock height and there is no cowl like on a cafe racer...
Ive seen so many different variations... I think they all look good...
Personally I like my seats with 1 inch thick foam...

Well its done except for the vinyl..

Its exactly 1 3/4 inches tall. My biggest dilemma is that my bike is in Ohio and I'm in Pennsylvania. I was in a motorcycle accident 3 months ago and had to move to my parents for rehab and in the process we ( me and my girlfriend ) decided to move to Ohio and all my shit is there. My sister is a magician with fabric and is excited to help me upholster the seat before i move... I need to know what the distance from the rear of the tank on a CB 350 to the rear of the shock mounts is. I am going to cut the frame off in that area and weld on a round bar like most these other bratsyle bike guys have done. I have a good idea of what its going to be like because this was my plan before the accident. But all my stuff is in storage 7 hours away. And this is an opportunity to have the seat professionally upholstered for cost of materials only . which has been total 20 dollars.

Any help would be rad!

Thanks.

Does anyone have more pics of this particular bike.

I do believe this will be my inspiration.
