Been Around the Block
Another idea, Revis. Some guys buy a computer for a bicycle (around $20) and set it up for the front wheel of their moto for speedo.

That is a funny story. Every time I jump on a modern bike it hardly ever fails. I go to hit the brake and end up downshifting. It's a challenge to go from english to others and back.
I'm not sure that Norton Smiths would read accurate on a BSA. Here's link to a reference guide to what model smiths were used on different years and makes of brit bikes. On the right is the menu for the bike make. http://www.raskcycle.com/techtip/p24.html
Here's a source for Smiths copies. Almost to the bottom of the page (#81-5102 and 03). $128 for the set.

Hope that's useful info.

triumphrider74 said:I know you are on a budget, but here are some links. If you want it to look original and last forever, I would hire it done by one of these places. If you have some experience with painting, it can never hurt to try it yourself. You can always sand it down and do it over. One thing about yours that is to your advantage is there are no stripes.
