"Cafe Racer" such a loose term! Craigslist "Gem" of the week!

I'd give him 10 cents a pound, beats the junkyard's 3 cents per pound or the scrap broker's 7 cents per pound. And in TN, he'd be doing good to get that. Those bikes aren't worth their weight in dried out dog shit in my part of the state...

What the ???

Is it possible it's a '68 BMW with denfeld accessories on it? A .22 for trade could be a good deal if so!!!

Remember when you could get one of these for his asking price, minus the thousands column? Would like to see that day return soon- I have an upgrade kit for one of these I'd like to use.

oh man give me a minute to catch my breath. I can hear music playing " this magic moment" .......

1. How does a bike that "runs and drives well" have "no run-inmiles" on it?

2. How does a Yamazuki-Triton inspire Jay and the Americana to play inside your head?

i think anything with two wheels and a motor classifies as a cafe racer now.

Why don't I have an extra $600 kicking around? This thin is like half a mile from my house

http://springfield.craigslist.org/mcy/4104946827.html is actually pretty nice. The first pic is an attention getter.

its a turd of a bike but Id like to take her out for a spin. ;)

Pretty orange peel....
I make no bones about hating that show.
And also not thinking highly of any of the builds I have seen on the show, in person or other things I have seen those "builders" do.
That said yoshi is baller.

Issues with the listing
-it's not an rd400. It is a modified ds7
-not finished.
-zip tied stuff that will fail and not work.
-paint looks like it was meant to be filmed at speed.....
-no tail light or plate mount
-ect ect ect.

Props for the guy getting $7k+
Or having shill bidders.

Again... I hear ya. Do I think it's a $7k + motorcycle? Nope. Not even close. Do I think its a good looking example of a custom RD? Sure do.

I also think the show is a steaming pile, as well as most of the bikes that are created on it. This bike isn't all that bad though. I'd definitely change some things and again, there's no way in hell I'd pay that kind of cash for it... But all around it's a decent bike. Being from a pro shop... It should be nicer, but I'd still ride it.

Who in their right mind would paint a slimline featherbed frame John Deere green, puke. And, all tritons should have shiny alloy tanks :D

According to several knowledgeable Norton guys, Norton Commandos make terrible choppers. So why do people keep doing this shit to them? http://albuquerque.craigslist.org/mcy/4108132075.html
