By Identical you mean not even close? or Far from similar?

No foam GS seat has the build quality of a Vincent Take the leather skin off and it's different ball game completely

Somebody has a Vincent seat up their ass.
It's ugly, regardless of value.

know what it looks like and don't take it for granted if i see one in a pile of Bits I'll let it finance my bike project ....not walk past it and call it ugly

Factory Race Parts...Perfect for Restoration...
Yea im not seeing the connection...
If in fact they are factory race parts...you better hope they never need to be jetted/tuned! Finding brass must be impossible!!!

RARE AND BEST OFFER

They are smoothbore CR's, track only (these prolly don't even have an idle circuit) that did, in fact, help built race engines back in the day squeeze every bit of power they could out of, in this case, prolly a 750cc track bike (31's might be a tad small for a built 900cc bike) at 3/4 throttle to WOT.

Useless on the road, really, if they are indeed the old school sans-idle circuit CR's.

Didn't study the pics or description long enough to tell ya for sure.

That may be but the shape is what I was referencing.

Explain what?
They are high end race carbs.
Correct for a period restoration of a race bike.
There are a few different versions of them.

Range from $1,000-4000

Not craigslist but this bike apparently showed up at an auction and included a free cedar! ;)

What's worse is that the price tag says 700 bucks! I'm assuming it wasn't running....... ::)

It was a typo. They put an extra 0 on the price by accident. Would make a great project.

Sweet looking CB550, looks like they might have done some engine work on this one. How did they get the cylinders to poke out at such odd angles?

Chicken, this is a simple mod, the cylinders are easily pried outward with a long pry bar, you may need to heat the engine with a torch first.
