"Cafe Racer" such a loose term! Craigslist "Gem" of the week!

And I thought the big wheel was ridiculous,

Then theres this...squat to pee, clown machine.

Right now the big wheel is looking pretty good.

There's a bike that looks like that at the Aiken Motorcycle Sales and Service in Aiken, SC.

I think it was built by a local shop or one in Columbia. They want 8500.00 for it.

It's a 1972 or 73 Honda CB450 twin. I should have taken a picture of it when I was there.

That is a pretty cool bike.. and not a terrible price either..

Looks like a period FZ racing seat. There's nothing wrong with it, it just doesn't fit on a GPZ.

Did you guys read the ad for the GPZ? It was not being built as a look good down the pub cafe racer. It was actually being built as a race bike and just never got finished. Even then, paint the seat to match the tank and you got a pretty good looking bike

That GPZ is fucking sweet!! toss a 3/4 Hammer fairing on there and trim the seat down a little and that would be an awesome scoot.

Maybe, except ur pic is a Zuki and the bike in question is a Kaw GPZ. Apples and oranges, dude. The seat plastic is way to big, canted at the wrong angle, etc., for the GPZ. More work, better seat, nice bike.BJ

possibly for street circuit or something in a built up area ?

i know on the rare occassions that they allow speedway bikes at inner city ovals here they make the bikes wear something very similar to a car muffler to keep the noise down for nearby residents
