that does look handy although it looks as if the grabbers may be kinda short fer nyloc nuts
i do like the design having the flat shape even helps with axiel orionation for placing a bastard nut in the acceptance zone

Yep, it's local for me, but the "coolness" is factor for me is worth about 8 bills less than he is asking. .

Yeah. I dig the kz 750 twins and I like seeing one in a rad hardtail chop but that frame is ugly and probably has a "interestingly" welded on neck from another bike.

Yep, I agree. I dig the big kz twins too. The bike dad had when I was really young (5 or 6 methinks) was a kz750 twin. I spent lots of time on that thing with the old man. I keep my eye out for a good deal on one... will be a someday bike. That "chopper" looks shoddy from the far away pic.. it has to be much worse up close

I personally don't get the whole chopper thing, but man it looked cool when I saw Easy Rider. . .

years ago, i bought a 750/4 chopper out of the paper after looking at it in near dark, it was slightly damaged (having been hit by a car while parked) but all the basics seemed ok so i coughed up and bought it.
when i got it home and had a good look in daylight, there was nothing good about it at all, the forks were rusted and bent, the motor was filthy/corroded and turned out to have a worse gearbox than the bike i already had, the wiring was rubbish, the cables and oil/brake hoses were cracked/frayed/perished/leaking, all the bodywork was damaged and rusty and best of all when we took the tank off, there was a large hose clamp holding the broken frame backbone together.......
did i learn anything from the experience...well i'd like to think i'd have second thoughts before buying another bike in the dark, stoned and from a trailer park. it's true i've bought bikes since then under the influence of mind altering drugs but none of them turned out as bad as that POS (mind you it would have been near impossible to avoid doing anything while i was stoned, i spent about 15 years permanently bent, if i was awake, i was ripped, damn good fun while it lasted)

It's the "look at me" for most, but once you have ridden one it becomes more about the experience... Harleys and choppers old Brits turned hard tail to me are like humans, they run good for a while then get sick and need some attention, we break a bone they break a rod, we have a heart attack they have an electrical fire... same same... Nothing gives you piece of mind like a reliable ride, but it's the stress of a loud rattling old hawg that keeps you alive

Some of the fab that goes into choppers is astounding. Some of those guys have serious skill. I was always a big Indian Larry fan. Built bikes, and rode the hell out of them.

For the most part, they ride like shit. But damn, the look cool. The last two sentences can be used to accurately describe 90% of the "café racer" scene. Lot of guys playing dress up and building dangerous bikes.

yessir.. I to can dig the choppers. My uncle bought his first bike at the age of 45. A 1949 pan head. springer front end, no front brake, foot clutch and jockey shift.. hardtail. Not the best first bike, but he grew up lusting over easy rider bikes, and when he got to the point that he could, he bought one. He has since bought an ultra classic in good repair, but to this day would rather put on his leather vest and terrorize the town on that old chopper. To each their own right. And your point is correct.. ive seen café bikes on here that if I had to choose, I would ride that chopper all day instead...

Yep....they do look cool......:

It belongs to my brother.....mines the one in the back.

He turned 65 yesterday and still rides that baby.
