Call me a hater if you want. That guy ruined that bike....That was a good canditate for restoration, and not a too common bike....what a maroon...

Why go through all that trouble and leave the rear of the frame looking like poo. If that was cleaned up, with a nice exhaust, that could be a cool bike to toy around on.

At least paint the raw metal where you cut the rear hoop off....that is downright ugly leaving raw metal to rust.
 
Some nice parts on that CR750 replica but so much still to fix including stock pegs and upside down clipons mounted too low. It's a classic dress up, which is what most of us did back in the day
 
I love that look, if I didn't have a weak back I'd love to put something like that together for messing around on the street, or even better as a dedicated track bike. If that guy was in CA I bet he'd get $5000 easy, but yeah couple of things that could be fixed
