Do you think they even had to make the statement "homemade"? I would have never known that abomination was not a factory built abortion otherwise. People are funny.

150mpg target  safety ? ::) how slo and bland can you imagiine that would be ? while you sit trapped helpless in a "motorcycoffin" that is too low to see or be seen as a semi truck runs you over rolls you up like a coon in the middle o the road.you cannot escape you cannot get up on the pegs, you are trapped in a deathtrap, too small to protect a helpless occupant that is way more likely to get wrecked by the unseers
fucking recumbants will never catch on, common sense says speaks one word all that is needed..... DON"t
there is actually a really well developed one that is fast and handles great, they say ;) but you are still trapped in a rolling coffin :-\

That one has automatic training wheels....

There's another with a gyroscope that stays upright without any training wheels:

Of course, they are expensive, still prototypes, but the CL guy is way behind the curve.

Similar if not the same vehicles have been around for longer than a month. A couple were featured on the kneeslider the last couple years.

There's a movie on netflix about the electric isle of man race that features a european builder of these that everyone used his electric motor design.

That training wheels one is kind of lame; my Mazda will do 55mpg and it's still fun for a cage. Now that gyro concept is pretty rad! Wonder how it would do in 6" of Ontario snow?

This guy is nuts but its what we have to deal with around here
