CB350 Built by a teen (Weld Now, Grind Later)

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (K0 cam and rockers anyone?)

carbs and other parts on the way. waiting a week for jets to get to DCC so i can get all my goodies in one go....

EVERYONE SHOULD BUY FROM DCC... absolutely one of the best businesses i have ever come across. 12/10. cannot say enough good things about them.

mmm, this is a happy day. got a shit ton of hw done, a shit ton of parts on order, im single, my parents are in good moods, theres talk of maybe a road trip to barber, and on top of it all my K0/k1 head should be here any day now.

man, talk about an early birthday present to myself! this is the second birthday i will be sharing with clara. only one more until she is rightfully signed over to me from my father. life iss gooddd.

haha sure thing joe ;)

bike bandit sent me a message stating that they were about to violently f*ck me in the arse with a 3 foot crowbar.

well, what they actually said was that the VM30s were on backorder, but thats not what it sounded like to me.

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (a TON of parts on order!! )

I WILL NEVER EVER USE THEM! worste busn in the world!

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (a TON of parts on order!! )

yea they do suck they have a warehouse in cali and were gonna mail the tubes i need to them selves then to me starting a 10 buisness day trip, two days after i paid for them,
but if you have all the time in the world, i have never found cheaper tires in a lot of sizes.
yes i too Iphone.
sort of hooked on it but i would never go back to another phone, and the one i had before was totally free.
still worth it

no honda dealer local... they havent let me down in the past, plus for 160 dollars for a set of carbs, well, thats a hell of a good deal.

as for phone... im going to suck it up and drop the 200 dollars on an iPhone, plus the 25 dollars for the data plan. i would actually get a use of it. its a pain in the ass to carry around my psp (that i really only use for music), and a phone, plus iPhone has so much more.

If I had a cell, I wouldn't have anything from Apple just out of principle.
It has designed in obsolescence and very restrictive programing/licensing
Steve Jobs is even more controlling than Bill Gates

Android Incredible for the win! Jobs is a crank for certain.
Thus far the Android looks like a better, far more flexible platform. At the end of the month, I'll be getting one (for foolishly cheap) and will be able to 'tether' to the laptop and PS3 at home for cheap broadband internet access without having to give money to Comcast.

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (a TON of parts on order!! )

iphone has tethering and with at and t, its 45 dollars monthly including 2gb transfer, and pretty cheap if you go over

I agree 100%. My wife wanted the Ipad instead of a laptop and when i asked why she said it was "cute".

reasoning like this enrages me.

Should check around. It'll be $30 with no overages with the droid. $15 a month saved will buy bike bits.....and the phone will cost less that that Apple rig...

Re: CB350 Built by a teen (a TON of parts on order!! )

i really honestly do prefer the iPhone 4 over the other phones on the market. the first generations of iPhone didnt cut it for me. but this, i like.

ugh, i would never buy the iPad or the macbook air.... just retarded.

lets get back to bikes, shall we? :D

Haha, I'm on caferacer.net too, some of those guys are kinda rutheless, but I give you tons of respect.....first off, guys like Geeto weren't born with knowledge and a wrench in there hands, they learned like you and I do!! Second off, you're gonna be the future, and their arrogance could be their downfall, it's one of the biggest blocks in anyone learning...I see it all the time in the surfboard industry. Just as a side note, I'm kinda new to the whole motorcycle wrenching thing as well, and honestly, what you F#$k up (if you do), don't worry about it, then you pay someone, watch them, and BAM!!, next time you know.

Also, for some cheap starter tools, try Harbor Freight if you have one around your area, you'd be surprised at what they have (metric sets for like $20), they sell alot of industrial tools as well, so if you feel reall ballsy and trying something crazy like metal fabricating, start with there tools, then work your way up to nicer stuff. It sucks to drop like $700 on tools just to find out it's not you're kind of bag when you could've just spent $200 to figure that out.

Good Luck!!!

40 pages is a lot, maybe you should get a build done before your build thread is a gazillion pages!

**in case its not clear, I'm just poking fun as my build thread is about the same length and my bike isn't exactly done yet.

haha... my last post was a bit of a joke... reading 40 pages would SUCK. although ive done it a couple times if its a good enough build thread ;)

if you think WERE bad, look at guys like kanticoy! haha.

last i checked my thread was the 10th longest cafe racer build thread.

Even without parts im doing work! well... sorta...

I'm going with a Power Sonic PS-1212 Battery. its very small. will fit with room to spare inbetween my frame rails. 1.2amp/hour will be plenty since all lights will be LED, and its Kick only. i might even have enough juice to run a halogen bulb. well see. ill probably run 12 guage cables off the battery, but thats overkill. 14guage should be plenty. since the battery is blade type, it will be quick disconnect which will be nice for... well, getting the battery out in a hurry. :D

will mount it on padded velcro, RC airplane style. will protect the battery from vibration and keep it from moving around at the same time.

more later when parts arrive.
