Hey guys. It's been a while since I've been on here and even worked on the bike. Back in 2011 I lost my job and was forced to do a short sale on the house. Then the people who bought the house only gave us 90 days to be out. Well after moving the bike got put on the back burner till last week when I dug it out of the garage.
I checked the battery, after sitting for over a year without being touched at all, still had 12.5v so I turned the petcock on, yes the fuel is over a year old too but was treated with sta-bil when I last put gas in it, and kicked it over twice and sure enough she fired up!! Let her idle and gave her a few blips of the throttle.
Checked the charging system and it was putting out to many volts at higher rpms, don't remember the exacts off the top of my head, so I ordered a new 4 wire reg/rec and carb gaskets. They came in today so tonight I'm gonna try to get her running.
