Nice, man. I did this on my carbs as well and it worked out awesome. Sonreir, you're right. The smell is fucking bizzare. I did mine outside on the BBQ side burner and even that was whacky.

Looks like it worked out pretty well. I was happy with the results on my lemon juice test, despite the EXTREMELY weird smell.
Yea the smell was bizarre, took about 6 hours to get it out of the house, with all the windows open, my dad said it smell like someone got a perm but I have no clue what that smells like, haha.

Sweet deal on the lemon juice trick. That's a new one on me.Did it clean the carb passages as good as the outside?

thats exactly how i want to do the pipes on my 450. Cant wait to see how they turn out.
Thanks, and I got the elbow pipes for free too, from a muffler shop, exactly what I needed and their scraps, "one mans trash....."

Yea it works great, everything has an even ''cleaness''. Got in the crannies and everything, highly recommend it.

Good sir, what size pipe/bends are you using?
I measure 1.5" OD on mine, but... to be sure.
Pretty sure it was 1.5 but have a feeling it might be 1.25'' I will go measure to make sure

Was off work today, so after school I took apart my forks, which was way easier than I thought, and now its soo obvisous what PJ and everyone else was talking about. The spacers lowered my forks a good 2'' which were how big the spacers were. It seems nice and stiff now, to bad I cant ride it. I put my forks back on and the gaiters, which look awesome. I also chopped my sproket cover, which I forgot to take pics of, I am thinking about cutting it up some more, but not for certain yet. Bought some bolts for my headlight bucket, which I thought it would be metric but sure enough it was standard. I mocked up my fender and I am basically going to cut it like everyone esle, sometimes theres a reason why everyone is doing it. But I would love to keep it but the pitting is just bad enough. If you can see in these pics of my seat and where I want to cut it let me know what you guys think, I want to trim up my bum stop all around a good 1/2''. Just feels like its too tall now that I made a new slimer seat pan, and I am off and on, on what todo. I am just now putting up a pic of my brake indicator/switch and wondering if anyone sees any flaws, I haven't seen anyone put a brake switch like this or at all and its making me worry.

P.S. I know the gaiters look werid in some of the pics, just got to get them on right.

Hell yeah, looks good dude!
So I take it you didn't need the spacer up top; It was stiff enough?
Thanks man, and it seem pretty stiff, but I will probably want it more stiff, so I will add some later when I ride it, when I can see if I need them or not or by how much.

Soo yesterday I put my bike up on my aluminum stand and took the wheels off. I took the tires off and striped them down to the hubs. I plan on buying new stainless steel spokes or chrome, and sand blasting the hubs and leaving them that nice aluminum color. I am taking the rims to a local powdercoater for $35 a rim (which seems pretty cheap from what I normally hear).

Today I started cutting on my sproket cover and spent about an hour just trying to get a piece of shiny stainless steel off of an old grill (cooking wise) out back. I plan on cutting out an outline of the design of the sproket cover. I would have finished cutting out the sproket cover but my blade was extremely burnt out.

I also put my spring on my rear kickstand, I used the penny trick, work really well.

I thought I put in there what color but I guess I didn't ??? . But they are going to be gloss black. And the penny trick, I have seen it more to take off a spring. But you just bend the spring side ways and cram pennies into the spaces in the spring you made by bending it. You have todo it equally on each side so the spring doesnt bend to one side. If you are putting on a spring I just put it in the vice. And once you have all the pennies in it, put in on the kickstand, and it should go right on in the most relaxed position of the stand. To get them out you just put the spring in the most stressed position and should fall out or you might have to pull them out. I bent about 4 cents and I hope the bank will accept them, or I am screwed out of just shy of a nickel. ;D But I hope that sums it up for you.
