CB750 Cafe Build

I myself was looking at the stock pegs... What if I cut them off at the base, relocated them by welding a new bracket to the eom mount?

What are you going to do about rear sets, stock location, or passenger peg location/ fab your own mounts? I just got mine back from the machine shop yesterday and it still needs some tweaking. Don't ask how much that cost me. Suffice it to say the invoice was an eye opener. However, they are much more substantial at 1/2" thick than my original home made version of 1/4" thickness (a lot of flex in the lever).

rearsets were going to be a must for the project but for the moment im going to leave them because there is a fair bit of mucking around anndddd im still at school so my wallet doesnt stretch that far for a different peg position. I did cut off the passenger pegs and other little brackets like the centre stand ones and other unnecessary little bits.

Center stand... Nessesery.

Have you ever had to change a rear wheel on the side of the highway because you got a flat? This guy has. If not for the center stand, it woulda been some kind of fun getting it on the back of a truck. Instead, I changed whe wheel with a spare I had in my basement at the time.

But, its your bike and I look forward to another guys idea of how a DOHC should look!

+1 on keeping the center stand (really comes in handy)
The bike is looking great! By any chance to you still have the top of the bar clamps? Been trying to get my hands some.

Yeah but in this case i chose looks over practicality. A race stand will be one of my next projects at school. If i do plan to do any long trips i have this neat little gadget that hooks up to the battery and pumps slime and air into the tube. The group i will be riding with on long trips consist harley riders and the odd duc 1098 or kawasaki zx10, none of them have centrestands. And sometimes if the group is big enough, we run a support vehicle because no one wants to carry any crap on the bikes.
