well while i ws out putting the boats in the water for the season tim got to work on the seat and kick stand....
first thing that needed done was to address the bump stop size... have to fit the frame and flow around that monster 180 tire... so
center was found and chopped that sucker in 1/2

first a mock up on the bike was done

then 1 in strip was cut

tacked into seat

mock up

good for no so moved on to the pan

tacked in place

rolled edges

next up kick stand
all the brackets where shaved off the stock stand

then one inch ws cut out and re welded

coming along!

i love this build already. looks like its going to be low, sleek and mean. that tail is well sized, shaped and positioned. cant wait for some turbo updates.

plate mount is done... frenched into the seat bump... all metal... led tail light and turns will go above it, and oval exhaust will feed out under it

Too bad land of Lincoln doesn't mean you can get an all copper license plate. Now that would be cool.

JK - love the plate mount - nice. If you were going all modern sleek etc. some LED's in the base of the plate recess would light up the plate nicely.

Ditto on lighting up the plate from the bottom and keeping the bump clean, but you guys know what you are doing, so I'll just sit back and watch.

working on it guys... will be able to get full on when my fairing and bags are done on the HD... then we have to get the body lines and frame work done we can start laying some color and fab up the turbo piping...

love this build. ive been wanting to do this with the gs1100. but i think ints quik enough already(for now) keep up the awesome work.
