Re: COLORADO CREW!!!!!!

Sorry I had to peel off early and miss getting my bike in the picture, but it was an awesome ride today. It was great to meet everyone.

was a pretty nice day! Glad everyone made it out........Casey, let me know what size front sprocket you go with? I finally rode my bike on the hwy and it rode good.

Re: COLORADO CREW!!!!!!

Yeah, i'll let you know. I want to try out a CB350 rear sprocket, I think...we'll see if I get motivated enough to do it

Re: COLORADO CREW!!!!!!

Hey guys if anyone needs some work done on their bike in the Fort Collins area I have a guy who is really reliable and cheap. I had him paint my tank and seat.......yeah yeah I know why didn't I do it myself. I am new to this and am just doing what is comfortable. I have the CB750 waiting to be built by me from scratch. Anyways I told him I would put his info up on this forum for all the N. Colorado guys. Or if you just need some help figure things out he is very knowledgeable. Just tell him Nick sent you.

Re: COLORADO CREW!!!!!!

God dammit this weather is killing me! ...and school.

Frick'nhell. Got the carbs back on and thought Ied be running by sun down... hooked up the new fuel line... ran like a champ, got out the driveway... and the fuel filter snapped... dicked till sundown, got new lines on, and now i have gas pouring out my airbox! What the hell!

Anyone have ideas? Stuck floats? I didnt replace the seals on the floats which I am guessing is the problem as they are very old (prob original) and i think the floats are getting hitched on them...

 ??? :'(

Re: COLORADO CREW!!!!!!

I might go for a short ride in the morning, but I think my front caliper is sticking so its likely to be a short one! Chances are pretty good I will end up popping it off the bike and rebuild it.

Re: COLORADO CREW!!!!!!

hey guys, im wondering if any of you guys feel confident helping me install, jet, tune, and sync some mikuni vm30's. I have never done it before and would love the help, also it will be part of the school project i mentioned earlier in the thread so if anyone would like to help just pm me post on this thread. I can let you know dates that would work for me and we can figure out what would work for you. So please let me know guys,
Thanks

Re: COLORADO CREW!!!!!!

Hi guys!!!! Another Denverite here!!!!!!! I am going to do a faux pas here, and re-post my introduction from the new members intro page. I will add a few tidbits here and there because it applies to Denver members....please don't flame me for being lazy....

Hello all!

I got turned on to this site from John at "Love and Polish" here in Denver. While I have been riding motorcycles for most of my adult life, I am currently without one and then I stumbled upon the machines that he builds....WOW-ieeeeeee!!!!!

Right now I am basically a hurting unit financially. Divorce, loss of job, and the economy over all, have forced me to tighten the 'ol belt. That being said, I am holding fast to those things that truly bring me joy. One of those things is working with my hands.

Long story short, I am going to dedicate what "would" have been my beer money...to the eventual procurement of the necessary pieces and parts for a build that I am hopeful, will follow in the footsteps of John Garcia here in Denver. I plan to scour these pages and glean what I can in order to do this build right. I am also hoping that Denver members can lend an ear and offer advice regarding a good "starter" model to begin my adventure in building my baby. One other thing, if someone has a good list of "must have" beginner tool set, I would be much obliged. Thanks for having me guys...I look forward to getting to know you.

EDIT TO SAY: Regarding models...I am thinking that either an early(or even a later model) Honda CB, Yamaha XS, Kawi KZ, or Suzuki GS might be good places to start? I am leaning to the Hondas and the Yamaha , only because I have seen and am in love with these two bikes.

When in doubt...accelerate!

Madcap.
