Do The Ton Spring Thaw

The conversation has already started. In fact, I'm not really sure it ever stopped since last year. From the initial interest, we are already planning "The Spring Thaw 2.0". We are currently inquiring about renting the entire cabin complex, giving us about 10 additional spots for bodies. There will again be the pre sale style reservations for cabin spots. Having the additional cabins assures that we A. have beds for everyone, unless Chris insists on sleeping between the beams in his hammock again, and B. we don't have to worry about the "quiet curfew". As soon as we hear about the cabin rental, I can throw out a price for the weekend so folks can be thinking about it. Our goal is to once again make it a very affordable event so that price is not an issue of getting the family together.

LOL Few buddy's and myself where just down there last weekend ! 77 just got completely repaved and is nice all the way thru now . Which if you rode it was lil rough but now the corners past the tunnel as great . Unless something crazy happens me and Jeff will be there !

Last year it was the second/third week of May...I think. I just drank a bottle of wind and would consider myself nothing short of magical if I could find my way out of the kitchen floor right now.

I always find myself magical when I drink a bottle of wind.

Hmmm, that could coincide with one of my R&R breaks.

But getting the fam down would be a bridge too far, I think, and I can't just run off when I have time to spend with them while I'm out of my shithole.

Look forward to seeing the pics, anyhow.

John, get your Gl sorted and I'll get mine, Rich can bring his and Troy then can make all our sorry excuses for GL's look like poo together, but we can all ride to the grocery store together and bring back enough beer and food for everyone, there would be no need for cages at all.

LOL

I've been talking with my wife and I think I'm going to have to pick one GTG for next year - tough call, because Barber looks pretty great, but this was a Ton of fun last year. I'm probably in for the Thaw and then Mid-Ohio.

But Rich that is 2 LOL. I will make Barber this year come hell or high water but I hope to get to at least one more. Maybe the Thaw, Maybe Mid - Ohio. I need to see what I have for Vacation left after Christmas.

What is a "bottle of wind"? I'm not sure if this is an actual object or a metaphorical term...

Side note, I will make this I tell you! I'm using it as a deadline for the 400f. I was thinking March, but May I think I'll definitely be good to go!.... Hopefully. /:

I wish any of them were close for me. the closest is I think M-O and it is 1200 miles away. Barber is 1600 and the thaw being farther west I think is 1800 LOL. all take min 2 days riding to get too.

If the Thaw is in KY again, it's much closer than Barber for you, Maritime. It takes me about 10 hrs to make it to the RRG area of Kentucky (where the Thaw was last year), about 18 hrs to get to Alabama. (I start about an hour South-West of Toronto).

LOL I start about 13 hours North East of TO LOL. I am on the northern Maine border in NB, rrg is 1287 miles, Barber is 1500 so gorge is closer but still pretty far.

Well guys, E and I have planned our vacation time to be able to do The Meltdown, The Thaw, Mid-O, and Barber. And hoping to have some participation in the misfit ride, if all works well.
