Do The Ton Spring Thaw

Coast to Coast
Gonna throw this out there to see if there is any interest. Everyone had such an amazing time at Barber it seems a shame that we don't get together more often. I was looking through all the threads yesterday and noticed that Red River Gorge was an option several times for GTG's but it never happened. I live just down the road from the Gorge here in Kentucky and go hiking/climbing there often. They have some great cabins, totally private (for gettin' loud & rowdy) and sleep 15-20. That said, I wanted to see the interest, if any from you guys, in making it happen. I would take care of finding the place and make all the arrangements for us. Not sure if it needs to be late winter or early spring...not sure if it would involve bikes or just getting together...not sure of anything other than I'd like to get us all together before Barber. Toss in yer 2 cents and lemme know what you all think.

Though it is a 7.5 hour hike, I could probably make this happen.

I am definitely interested, sir.

If you agree to NOT bring a cat, I'll try to help.

I like this idea.

6 hours for me. I might even be able to do that on my bike.

There is some fantastic riding down there. Roads wind and don't have a lot of traffic.

3.5hrs from Indy. Hmmm get more info and I'm sure I can sway a weekend from the wife's sched to ride down :)

Just after Christmas I will start taking a look at some places & dates.

It is likely 2 days for me but I would try to make it for sure. If I cage it I can get there faster and depending on the time of year I may have to cage it anyway. Got a Zip for the general area I can map to it?

What!?! Justin might go? Then I'm not bringing my wife...... or my cat.

40376

It is about 40 min East of Lexington, KY.

If I haven't moved or sold the bike yet, I'll definitely consider it, only 11 hours for me :)

I feel like a cheater because the Dragon is three hours one direction and Barber is three hours the other direction for me. I'm willing to ride a little further if it make it easier for others to attend.

As far as timing goes, let's try to keep in mind this:

Perhaps late March or early April would be good?
