I find that very hard to believe..........you're getting a TV repaired ?????

nice looking pipes though, they're going to look well sexy in the finished form

Hahahah, yeah. Thought I would leave that one to the pros. It's under warranty too so will pass playing with that one this time ;)

Amazing thread, your perseverance is outstanding, i spent a good chunk of today reading the entire thread what a journey, PJ's definitely your spirt animal. can't wait to see the next update.

Too long since an update but happy people are enjoying the build (thanks for the kind comments pn). Sure it's slipped down the pages since I last posted in October but I don't want to post when I have nothing to report.

Reality is I've been a bit preoccupied with a new baby in the house, plus I've been focused on getting variable drive on my lathe and my dirt bike back on the road... Which is now done, so no excuses.

Watch this space as I enter the motor rebuilding phase and finishing off the headers.

PS. Very true on the PJ piece, top chap, wealth of knowledge and certainly got the bike to where it's at today.

Yep know how that is, I have a 1 month old, thought I'd be able to sneak a few more hours into my build on my time off, nope not at all, torn between want to put more hours in and not missing the little man grow up they change so rapidly.

Also I'm totally stealing your front fender idea as I'm also running a Gsxr front end on my cb750, just have to find a fender for sale? I've come up with nothing so far, and a quick question how much did the cnc'd mounts for it cost to fab up?

pn, the fender is a Ducati Monster Alu one, I bought mine from the U.S. And I think it cost me approx $60.

No idea what the CNC mounts cost but I would suspect around the same. If you want I can ask my buddy if we wants to run another set and get a price for you?

Would need to check the fork legs and fender mounts first though.

Thanks for the fender model, I've had a crack at it seems like I'm only coming across old listings or painted ones, just have to keep an eye open it seems.

As for the cnc'd mounts my forks are a later model than yours, mine are 06-07, but if you do chat to him yeah find a price, I'm located in Melbourne, I'm also after a few other things I'd like machined, but that's a fair while away.

Thanks again Neevo.

Damn! Looks like the Alu fenders have all disappeared. Used to be loads on eBay now none. Even scoured the web and found nothing.

Happy to help with CNC work/pricing if you find a fender you like. Anything is possible :)

There will probably be a bunch turning up on high dollar customs no people know about them.
These forums are not just watched by us lot, several well known businesses look here for 'idea's' ;)

I can imagine PJ, i'm reluctant to start a project thread, outlining any of my "idea's" because i'm sure i'd end up seeing them on a blog somewhere before i even finish my bike.

Are you suggesting I'm a trend setter PJ ;)

Ironic they will probably be old hat by the time my bike is on the road :D

They say imitation is the highest form of flattery. Nothing is really unique, so I don't worry about it. I say go for it and copy my bike if you want, it's never going to be the same as I've put so many touches into mine that would be hard to replicate.

Example are the headers which are my own design, subframe lift, CNC work.

The sprocket cover mod I did on 360 in 2009 turned up on a couple of other 360's
It's on page 1 of blog/build, may even have done it in 2008, I kinda forget stuff ;D

That's how you win the game I reckon PJ. Unless of course someone like Roland Sands is copying your designs then parking next to you... then you're farkd.

True almost everything is derivative to some degree (especially when it comes to the internet), i get a bit stroppy when i see people beating me to the punch on things i previously thought were unique, but i'm a small and petty person ........that said i'll make sure i stamp into the brushed aluminum on the fender "NEEVO" ;D
