"Drewski's h1a/750"

Re: A Drewski/Seaglider Production

Great score!

If you keep those wild chambers at least you won't need a side stand.

Ha! Yeah they've got a crazy cool look to them....not real practical....and very loud no doubt. We'll be sourcing some Walms WTF's for pipes....just a little better clearance for leaning into the corners. ;D

Re: Drewski's h1a/750

Wow, 10 pages back... I guess I should blow the dust off this Project...

Well kids, if you've been following along, you'll know that the "new" Drewski/Seaglider Project is actually the Kawasaki h2 FBG Tracy Project!! That's where the FBG drag motor is going now. It's gonna be a BEAST to say the least. ;) ;D

"So what about the h1/750" you say? Good question. I have an answer. ;)

This is now just a "Drewski" Project... Seaglider is gonna have his hands full and his pocket emptied with the FBG/Tracy Project. ;D

Just foolin around the other day and came up with this as a starting point:

The front end and rear end are gonna stay. The engine is just empty cases. Looks o'k though! It's a h2 750 and I like the concept so much, that I'm gonna yank the engine outta the "Mongrel" and stuff it in the h1 frame. The chambers will need a little tweaking to fit, but we'll make it work. :D

Anybody wanna buy the "Mongrel" rolling chassis? ;D ;D

Re: Formerly: "A Drewski/Seaglider Production" Now, "Drewski's h1a/750"

Would you take $50 for the roller? Ha. But seriously. Would you?

Ha, I would pay it, but I wouldn't sell it for $50.

Haha! Don't blink!! Things can change in an instant around here! ;) :D Come get that dragbike chassis so we have some room to work around here! ;) :D

Gee, I don't know...

I'd love to, but there are a lot of things to get done. I might just shelve this one for a year, working a little at a time. The title needs to be sorted out first. That can take some time and will require me to jump through a few hoops. We'll see how it goes. ;)

Seaglider REALLY wants his FBG/Tracy "beast" finished, so that will get priority. I owe him that. ;) ;D

Meanwhile, I still have the KZ to ride, so it's not all doom and gloom. ;D 8)

Re: "Drewski's h1a/750"

Far too many things on-the-go these days, but we should be able to get some assembly done in the weeks around Christmas.

I think the h2 engine should be in the frame, along with most of the electrics, cables, fuel/oil lines, etc. The WTF chambers will need some mods to fit properly, so that might take a little longer. ;)

Just as a refresher, this is sorta the look I'm after:

I'm still searching for a rear fender, tail light, grab rail and seat. I believe all years from '69 through '72 will fit and look very close to what I need. The '72 fender is painted and not chrome like the early years, but I could live with that. As well, the later years have a larger tail light. I'd prefer the smaller, older tail light assembly and chrome fender, but "beggars can't be choosers" I'm told! :D

I'll get some pics up as soon as we get the pieces assembled. :)

Kewl beans Drewski! What do you have planned for paint and decals?
I'm partial to the stripes only from the H1A, I've never seen that done before... ;)

Walms, the tank and side covers will remain as they are in the pics on the previous page. Just the right amount of "patina" and solid original good looks. :D

I'm not sure I know how to take that Brother... :D

That makes 2 of us then, painting my bike isn't on my short list even having it on the road for 8 years now. :D

Re: "Drewski's h1a/750"

Oh you know....willing to experiment and try new things....you ride around on the "Mongrel"....I think you know what I'm talking about. ;D We're putting a FBG motor with a Tracy body....I'd say willing to try unusual things is definitely what we do....yes me too! 8)
