Loved the story man, just loved it. Your story is what pushed me over the edge to go ahead and throw this idea out there. I had been thinking of it for a long time and that was enough to set it all in motion. I actually sent that post to a few people who are not members and they loved it. Everyone agreed on how you perfectly captured what this is all about.

Well, see now you've got me blushing!

No apologies needed :) I'm like the Wizard of Oz. Once you pull back the curtain you realize there's some short balding man in a small room making all these lights and buzzers work.

Kiley (Kanticoy) has a way with words as well and is completely in-tune with the spirit behind our members' projects and DO THE TON. Definitely reach out to him.

hahahahaha lmao

this is the best idea ever mate i would happily grab one or three. good luck with it keep us all posted

Meeting with a publishing lawyer tomorrow morning guys. Gonna hammer out some details and all the icky stuff associated with a project of this scale. I should have the submissions site up in a few days.

I bought one of the first of the first book and I look forward to this one too.

Keep in mind though for a lot of folks, the build is the story. Or at least half of it.

Just gonna drag this out and shovel off the dust. For those of you, which I am sure it is everyone, that thought this was dead...its not. I have been incredibly busy and the little free time I did have was devoted to that God Awful mess of a motor the "mechanic" I used for my cafe project left me with. Anyway, the summer is winding down and slower times are around the bend. I have been really been dying to get going on this book and by this time next week the submission site should be up and ready with full details of how to get your stories in there.

My biggest hurdle with the project other than the sheer volume of it has been how I would pay for it all. I am NEVER one to ask people for a hand out or take money from people without giving something back. We all work way to hard for those little green pieces of paper! I really struggled with how I could gather the funds to actually get this thing rolling and I feel pretty good with the plan at hand. In an effort to fund this book I am launching a small clothing line geared towards the cafe racer in us all. I am initially starting with 4-6 different shirts and it will (hopefully) turn into other stuff as the brand moves along. I will be creating all of the designs and will probably put a few different ones up here for you guys to vote on. There will be a site for everyone to order from and maybe I can get to a couple of these festivals with them as well. The entirety of the proceeds will go directly towards funding the book and i think its a pretty cool idea to tie them together. I've been planning and designing for the brand for about a month now and I will "reveal" all that to you guys hopefully at the first of next week.
