Here you go.

Next mark: Your favorite coffee house or diner. (Please don't park in front of Tim Hortons or Starbucks and the like - gotta be a mom and pop kind of joint).

Cheers.

I can't believe no one has completed this yet.... I'm a rain or shine rider, yet not going to brave our severe storms going on (for now )

And I was thinking to myself as i got back onto my mtn bike after leaving City Cafe this morning They haven't done a cafe/diner post. I should make a mark and call it ;D

*EDIT*

Haven't done a cafe in awhile

The very first "mark" in this thread was a café. My local diner is only a mile away.... but I need a raft, not a mc, this morning to get there !

Pansy ;D

Is there a compiled list of past marks? So the same mark doesn't get called time after time.

Or can we call the same mark after a little time has passed?

I'm too lazy to check.

GLENNWOOD55CAMEO keeps the list updated on page one of this thread - - awesome thread by the way :D

I know, right ?

So the rain passed ... and after finishing up some work on my RD project, I rode over to my local joint, Max's

All day breakfast, killer deli, and an old school lunch bar where you just sit down and order from whoever is behind the counter... love it !

Sweet.

I wonder what people are thinking as we are taking random pictures of our bikes with random objects?

Yes, I have kept the list updated so far on the first page of this thread. The idea of the thread is to not duplicate the previously completed marks but to come up with a new and different mark ................

I'm happy it's just our bike that needs to be in the pic- could you imagine having to say:
" HEY Lady, could you please take a photo of me and my bike in front of that giant ball of yarn please? "

Next Mark: Your bike with a log house or log building

Well I know what my next mark's going to be ;D

"Your bike and DeanJ"

So... after a few rides over the past two days, I have determined that we do not have any signed picnic areas here. We have picnic areas in most of the parks I rode through and in all of the forest preserves.. however this information is kept secret from the general public and passers by. Please don't share this information. Like I said , it must be a secret... and rarely used picnic facilities will require fewer updates and maintenance . This will keep our tax expenditures low.

We do not have any scenery, so overlooks are not required.... Thus no "scenic overlook" signs. We do have some nice bluffs with views of lake Michigan... but no one knows that because there are not any signs for those either.

Along the toll ways, we do not have "rest area" signs. We don't have rest areas , here they are called Oasis' . They are an overpass, accessible from either direction, yet only via the toll way. They include fuel, several fast food joints , restrooms etc. There are signs for those... but they say "Oasis" , not "rest stop". Even if it were a "rest area" with a "rest area" sign, they are on the toll way... and I don't have any money for the tolls !

For your consideration, but if you don't accept it, I understand (mine's "Scenic Drive" not "Scenic Overlook"). Regardless, it gave me a little extra reason to get up this morning and ride before work :)
