How do you clean up the ends where you start and finish wrapping? Some sort of clamp to keep it in place and not unraveling?
you fold it over and safety wire, hose clamp, or stainless zip tie

And you do the same thing at the head? You start wrapping right after the exhaust collars?
Most start at the header and work to the end of the pipe. We are going to start at the megaphone and work toward the head. You start by doing a couple of wraps and tie it off. This pipe wrap is made from volcanic magma from the bowels of hell so it doesn't need to be wet and since it isn't made of fiberglass...no itch. Don't like the look of the hose clamps nor the zip ties so we are going old school with safety wire...where I come from we called it bailing wire.

Why fit that stuff? Unless the pipes touch the fairing and there are better heat management solutions. As a performance aid it is a complete waste of time and cash and as a heat barrier, It's limited. I don't get it. :-0

I thought wetting it was just to help wrap it tighter. I never worked with it. Only what I read and seen on you tube. That looks expensive.

50 bucks... worth it to keep the paint till we get our other pipes from mandrel bends. We need to practice welding stainless and need to put the pipes on the dyno to find the best combination. This offered the best heat protection of all the wraps according to the reviews. We are currently running a heat-shield and regular fiberglass pipe wrap and it is still heating things up. We thought this might cool things down under the fairing. We will see...

Oh dang that looks great! Do you have a sleeve to get the stock header to fit snug into the reverse cone? I take it the inlet is 1.5" to the muffler?

Or did the wrap take up that space?
