Found an old cb450 sitting in my barn

I'm actually going to agree and suggest you either restore it or sell it and buy another 450 to chop up. But that's just my opinion.

Of course the bike is yours and probably has sentimental value. Whatever you decide I'm glad it is rescued from the barn and will roll again. Keep us posted.

I'm halfway fucking with you guys, just because it's funny. I'm just going to remove a few things from inside the exhaust pipes and maybe paint it a different color. Nothing major haha

once you paint it it's no longer original. I would buff the tank with some compound you might be surprised how well it cleans up.

I have absolutely no interest in the restoration value. Get all twitchy if you like, but I'm going to paint it regardless.

Well, like I stated earlier, I'm not thinking anything too radical. Taking out the bafflers and painting it, mainly. I'm not so sure about keeping the seat the way it is, but it might stay.

Got the carbs and filters back on. Just waiting on getting a tank liner, and then it's time to do some syncing

Change of handlebars maybe?

Once it warms up a bit outside, I'm going to try to get her started. The new tank liner should be cured by now

Being a collector of 450's in particular, the Black Bomber you have there, is indeed rare. Haven't read entire thread, but I certainly hope you are heading toward resto and not a cafe conversion or something (if you are, I will drive out from CO and give you a perfect, running 70's model 450 to build into a cafe for it).

Thanks man, but I wasn't going to chop it up or anything crazy. I have a '72 honda 175 I'm going to tear apart and cafe the shit out of it after I'm done with this one. But if I ever decide to sell or trade, you'll be the first to know
