Jorgen, I think I'm good for brake components right now. When I get a chance, I'll look around for sprocket / chain conversion parts for your bike. Same goes with your carburetors - but I have a pretty good idea of what will work for you already.

I am having my kid this coming week,so there wont be any other progress for me but installing the engine and the frontend and shocks untill next weekend.

Welded up a luggage rack to the passenger grab rail:

Here's the rear caliper setup - just had to weld a plate for the master cylinder mount since Bradj did the caliper stay on the swingarm.

Chain side - just needed a few washers to center the wheel and the plastic chain guard needed trimmed to clear the wider tire. The 520 chain I installed is a few links longer than stock to move the tire back in the swingarm (and for the axle to clear the exhaust tips):

And took the 83 Katana fairing from the GR and painted it red to match the GS.

Made a new (taller) windscreen and installed that. Also made a bracket for the ADVMonster led light that attaches to the lower fork pinch bolts:

Oh, it's been on the road a few times already. When I installed that led light, I took it out for a test ride at 2am......and it was 15° out. Needless to say, it was a very short test ride.

I think the high for today is 60°, and tomorrow will be about 65°?

Nice, we got 10" of snow yesterday, roads were a disaster, took me twice as long to get to work. Glad someone gets to ride cause I won't be for at least a few more weeks

Ha! I had to wrestle with them to even get over the lower tubes. That one apparently pulled up a little bit..... I took it out for a proper ride today - 70° and nothing but sun. Only issue was needing to get gas.

I am, yes. The entire assembly is from an 89 GS500, but I put in a 35w/35w H4 bulb to save on power. There are a couple reasons for that, but it's not worth going into now.
